It was ugly early for the Eagles, but they finally righted the ship in the second half. Down 20-7 at halftime, Philadelphia won 32-27.

Carson Wentz had two second-half touchdown passes, one to DeSean Jackson and another to Alshon Jeffery, and Jeffery also scored on a 2-yard run in the second half.

Wentz finished 28 of 39 for 313 yards and three touchdowns. Jackson caught touchdown passes of 51 and 53, with the latter giving the Eagles their first lead at 21-20 with 5:07 remaining in the third quarter.

Back with his original team playing his old team, Jackson finished with eight catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns. It was his most receiving yards since torching the Seahawks for 157 in a 2014 game while he was with Washington.

Case Keenum went 30-of-45 for 380 yards and three touchdowns, the last coming with six seconds remaining.

  1. it was a division game so if you were expecting a blowout you are wrong. Eagles at home took care of bizz period. As expected. And Wentz had a very nice day as well. Cant hate today, but the season is long. Now time for the BOYZ to do their part and keep this a two team race till the end.

  2. Ironic since Foles got hurt today, and Wentz showed how he’s the superior player in the second half while the injuries the last two years kept him from doing so. He’s a top 10, possibly top 5 QB,and Eagle fans wanted him gone. Shows how fickle fans are.

  3. Realfootballfan, lol you make it sound like all of is eagle fans wanted him gone. Probably like 5%. You’re just here to rain on our parade. You’re pathetic. GO BIRDS!

  4. I think that if A.P. was playing today & the lead ball carrier for Washington that they would have won with C.K. passing at 115%. A.P. usually wins when his qb is playing that well. Oh well, Jay Gruden, too bad.

  5. Same old crap!!! Allen could find talent if it was secured to his diaper, and Gruden goes in at half time and must take a nap, Has no idea what adjust means, Joe Gibbs where are you when we need you?

Love Foles, he got us the title we’ve been waiting for, but a very vocal minority wanted him over Wentz. Eagles started slow but really picked it up second half. Wentz looked good. Didn’t push running with the ball and showed some good vision.

Your argument possibly could have worked if it wasn’t for the insane ToP differential in the second half.

  9. Wentz doing what he does best. Looking great against bad teams.

In 3 seasons he has only beaten 9 teams with winning records. That hasn’t changed after today.

Don’t know what game you were watching. The Eagles are clearly the far superior team, but the Redskins were handling them pretty decisively through the first two quarters. Then the Redskins do what they do best and essed the bed in the second half, but clearly the Redskins are at least a mid tier team with some young talent.

  11. And once again Groundhog Day comes to visit the remaining fans of the Washington Numbskins. All giddy and celebrating their Snoopy Bowl “victory” after actually winning a first quarter, Numbskin fans were necessarily despondent believing the fake news that Washington has a “great defense” and witnessed the Philthy team with a wide receiver that has really lost a step carve them up – and to make it more delicious, that wide receiver was a former team member who was fragile, whiny, and even slower in his final years. But to make it even more delicious, that slug of a wide receiver beat the “BEST” cornerback that the Numbskins have, Josh Norman – a man who can’t cover a blade of grass on a good day.

The same old tired and dumpy head coach, Chubbs Gruden, showed that he’ll never be confused with Joe Gibbs as he also was celebrating the first half and forgot to make ANY adjustments in the second half after the idiot on the other side of the field with a visor managed to make several.

I was laughing hysterically as a former Numbskin fan of 47 years when the team had the audacity to think that the bleached hair waife, Guise, was going to do anything as a running back. And Guise delivered even less than I could have imagined and I was eating cake and throwing chunks at the laughing stock Alablubber defensive fools on the line who were having their lunches handed to them in the second half – an done of them was having lunch in the second quarter and some cow chips in the second half on the sideline.

This kind of idiotic and lazy performance by the Numbskins is exactly why I divorced the team the moment it signed Alice Jones as QB last year. This team is never in condition to sustain anything but a first quarter performance and suffers from “Camp Creampuff” fatigue for the final three quarters. What was surprising is that Case K was so effective, but when the Philthy team had had enough of that pathetic Washington offensive line (they were no worse missing the overhyped Weedy Williams) and decided to turn the heat up on the gang of veggie eating idiots.

And so the NFL is where we thought it was – the Browns were awful, the Numbskins were a joke, and the New York Nightmara Family Crime Syndicate was contemplating an exit strategy from Eli Mae Manning.

  12. Ultraviolet Thunder…your whole post is kind of cringey. Although I’m not happy with the end result, I see the silver lining. Some solid potential in our new young players. Mclaurin was my very last pick of the fantasy draft but I guarantee he will be drafted early in all fantasy leagues next year.

  13. Better team won period. Still there is some hope for the Skins. The O-Line performed much better than expected. Case didn’t throw a pick. The young receivers made some plays. Most importantly they scored a garbage time TD to cover!!
