Josh Rosen in for Dolphins, immediately intercepted

AP

Josh Rosen didn’t win the starting job, but he did end up playing in the opener.

The Dolphins backup quarterback, who lost the starting job to Ryan Fitzpatrick, made his Miami debut late in the third quarter.

Of course, he walked into a 52-10 deficit against the Ravens, which didn’t give him much of a chance. But he didn’t do anything to make it better, throwing an interception on his second attempt with Miami.

Rosen’s career is being set on fire in front of our eyes, as he’s been sentenced to two of the worst-run organizations in the league in his short time since being a top-10 pick.

After being supplanted by Kyler Murray in Arizona, he was shipped to Miami for a second-rounder, in what seemed to be good business at the time. But that was before they got rid of all their good players, giving him not much of a chance.

With a little luck, his third team will treat him more kindly.

  1. We’ll never know how good he could have been. He’s surely the unluckiest millionaire QB in recent history not named Carr.

  2. Tank for Tua that will set the fins back 5 years, Tua will be terrible, and the fins need more than Tua, at least last year there could be competitive, the defense has no idea what to do out there. Ross please sell the team its obvious you have no idea how to build a winning franchise.

  3. Guys tell me how Lamar can’t throw. You all talked some serious trash during the off season about Lamar. Apologize.

Dude Lamar is playing against the worst team in the NFL by a country mile, calm your rightgeous indignation down a bit.

  5. You guys are some clowns. Lamar shredded a professional team. Just admit you were wrong, hes been a beast all traing camp, preseason and is the current leader for 2019 MVP.

  6. Ya,Let’s crown the ravens now
look who they played today ,I hope they understand that too because
next week when they get blown out by some other hungry team
Lamar will know why.man I wish it was Pittsburgh

  7. Rosen, Mayfield, Darnold, none of them looked very good today. Lamar Jackson and Marcus Mariotta both had good stats and good games.

I won’t speak to Lamar yet but do you know what you call Mariota having a good game?

    An anomaly!

  9. I seriously doubt Rosen gets a third team. No shame in him just hanging it up at this point and saving his health. He comes from money and has plenty of his own from the Cardinals on top of it.

  10. Rosen is sitting by himself in the lockerroom head in his hands mumbling “GOD what did I even do to deserve this”?

  11. Miami was out played and out coached the entire game. I expected the loss but was hoping the HC would have his team prepared to play. Defense stunk, receivers and backs running free, poor tackling, no pass rush at all, offense was no where in sight, O-line was invisible and way to many penalties. So much for running to the TNT wall.
This is what you get when you rid the team of all talent.
Ravens could have easily rung up 70+ against this defense.
I hope Ross, Grier and Flores can stomach the product they putting on the field for another 16 weeks.
