Ravens up 42-10 at halftime, and it’s not that close

AP

The Dolphins were a little frustrated and did a little pushing and shoving, after Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson took a knee to end the first half.

They should have been happy, as it was their best defensive play of the day.

The Ravens are up 42-10, and the Dolphins’ plan is working perfectly.

There are so many things going wrong for Miami it has to be on purpose, as organizing this kind of calamity would take too much work.

Jackson has a perfect passer rating (158.3) through the first half, as he’s 10-of-11 for 210 yards and four touchdowns. Rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown has four catches for 147 yards himself, including touchdowns on his first two NFL receptions.

But the Ravens are also kind of rubbing it in. Up 35-3 in the second quarter, they called a fake punt, and ran for a 60 yard gain. It was probably unnecessary, but it’s not John Harbaugh’s obligation to have the Dolphins ready.

Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a touchdown late in the half to become the first player in league history to throw for a score for eight different teams. Of course, that happened way after he offered one up to new Ravens safety Earl Thomas to record an interception for all eight as well.

  1. get ready for a token overreaction to this performance by the Ravens. Good grief, the dolphins look like they would lose to Alabama and Clemson. it’s too bad for that head coach too, because he will probably get fired for a team that is on total rebuild mode.

  2. People mocked Lamar when he said he wanted to have the best offense ever. Well that first half was the best offense I have ever seen. Keep on doubting Lamar.

  3. “You forget Miami is run by a Belichick pupil.”

Who had very little input into the roster he was handed or trading away his best Olineman right before the season started.

Can’t blame the mess the front office created on Flores. He’s a champion who wants to win.

  4. I am dissapointed Chris Grier was not the first GM to be fired at halftime of his first game. I know we are rebuilding but half the team doesnt know the playbook becauae they just got here. That is entirely on Grier. Now that Parker had a decent game maybe theyll trade him away to the highest bidder and after Preston Williams has his breakout game Grier can ship him off too. The team was so bad it wasnt even upsetting, it was literally hilarious. Break out the brown paper bags guys, this season is going to be fun.

  5. I’ve spent the whole off-season trying to let other Dolphins fans know that Flores is not the guy and is simply a scapegoat through this rebuild. Fins needed a guy that fans wouldn’t “question”. Grier isn’t the guy either. Historically good teams are built through the draft not by tanking. Long Story short…Ross needs to sell. He is tanking to get high draft picks to entice Harbaugh to come from Michigan.

  6. Plenty of tickets for next weeks game should be available cheap now, and flights from Boston to Miami round trip are cheap as well. Should be a big road crowd next week in Miami….

To patriot fans facts don’t matter, for Dolphin fans they do. Flores was quoted when trading Tunsil “this deal was too good to pass up”. Stop making excuses for the cheaters pupils. Belichick would be out of the league if Goodell wouldn’t turn his head.
