Malik Jackson out for the season with Lisfranc injury

The Eagles knew Malik Jackson wasn’t going to be back soon.

Now, he won’t be back at all this year.

According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the veteran defensive tackle will miss the rest of the season with a Lisfranc injury suffered in Sunday’s win over Washington.

Jackson will have surgery next week.

The Eagles were quick to sign Jackson to a three-year deal this offseason, after he was released by the Jaguars. It was a bit of a luxury buy, as they already had a deep and talented line. It’s less so now.

  1. Schwarz’s defense predicates on a stud Dline group that rotates often.
That made Malik a necessity, not a luxury.

What a shame. The mouthy, arrogant, cap hell Eagles about to get what’s coming to them

I don’t know what your issue is with that team, but you’re clearly just a hater. It took me 10 seconds to google the salary cap and they have plenty to add a guy. And after reviewing their roster, the only mouthy guy might be DeShaun Jackson. And oh all he did at the age of 32 is destroy a defensive secondary last weekend.

  3. So, tylawspick6, about those Lisfranc injuries not happening suddnely…

    “umm, lisfrancs
    are not immediate injuries

    they develop over time

    ugh”

    Right…

  4. good response birds of a feather, I like it, but give that man some respect…
    Desean not Deshaun.
And boy did he sure destroy that d backfield last weekend!
It looks like Carson to Desean is a connection that hopefully happens early and often all season long baby!

This coming from a fan of the team that just signed the biggest problem child in all of football…LMAO, What a clown you are!!

  8. Ty’sdbag just asks for it. He can’t stand that his pats got owned by the Eagles in 52 and won’t let it go. Hey little man, you won it last year, just let it go. You are just a sad internet hero who is on the Eagles jock every post they get. I don’t know who hurt you as a kid little guy, but you really need to let it go 41-33 is now tattooed on your forehead, it’s pathetic.

  9. Please, dont feed the Troll(s) Tylaw just craves attention and still is sore about Superbowl 52..

There will be plenty of good material with TB12 and AB in the coming weeks as Flash Gordon gets more catches then him.

  10. No one wanted Jernigan. I am glad he found his way back to Philly later in the offseason.

I hope Jackson fully recovers and can be back playing next year.

I’d be fine with rushing Graham in the middle more often and bringing back Chris Long for the role he wanted.
