Tyreek Hill expected to miss 4-6 weeks

Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill will miss at least a month after suffering an injury in Week One.

Hill’s collarbone injury is expected to cost him four to six weeks, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

That’s better than it could have been, as there was some talk that Hill could have gone on injured reserve, which would have forced him to miss at least eight weeks.

Over the next four weeks the Chiefs play the Raiders, Ravens, Lions and Colts. In the two weeks after that they have the Texans and Broncos. A six-week time frame would have him back on the field October 27 against the Packers.

Hill had two catches for 16 yards and one carry for five yards before getting hurt on Sunday against the Jaguars.

  1. Bad guy – sure, but if you find the Patriots to be boring, or if you want the AFC to be somewhat competitive, then it would be swell that the Chiefs had all their weapons. The Pats have a GREAT defense, and frankly that Chiefs offense is the only offense you can feel confident that can put 30 on ’em.

*Some clarity for the simps – no i do not think the Chiefs can beat the PAts, and yes I understand NE will dink and dunk their way to 10 minute 16 play drives and keep Mahomes off the field like the AFC championship game

  2. I figure the chiefs expected him to be suspended as long so they should be ready. I see they brought de’anthony thomas back. I would guess more as a return specialist than a receiver

  3. The Chiefs drafted Mecole Hardman in the off-season because they feared Hill would be suspended. The speedy rookie should get his shot now.

  4. If they rush him back in 4 to 6 weeks, it’s gonna be bad. Collarbone injuries don’t heal that fast. Remember Romo’s issue? Rodgers? Collarbones typically take 12 weeks to fully heal, and many players have come back after 8. Come back any sooner, you risk breaking it again (Romo) the first time you hit the ground wrong.

  5. They just dropped 40 on the Jags cheap-shotting defense in the Jags’ own house without Hill, I think they’ll be okay, lol.

That’s a flowery speech and all – but Hill didn’t break his collarbone, so…

  7. This sounds like an injury that could very well linger for longer than the Chiefs are letting on, classic Andy Reid . . . he did this in Philadelphia too!

    You hate to see it.

    Speak for yourself.

  9. Who cares that they put 40 on the Jags? They proved last year that the 2017 defence was a flash in the pan. You score early on them, they quit. Talk about living on a reputation.

  10. I love the totally oblivious Pat’s fans looking for something, ANYTHING, to deflect the Brown,Chung, and Kraft dumpster fires. Can’t wait to hear their lame excuses after Brown is released.

Yeah, that’s just not true. The 2018 Jags were the #5 defense in the NFL, even with Blake Bortles bortling up the offense and sending the demoralized defense back out on the field. They were demoralized in 2018, but that’s because of Bortles.

The reason why it’s important to get it right is that does a disservice to the Chiefs, who have the premier offense in the NFL right now. They are going to hang a large number on the Raiders this week.

Wonder what Nick Foles did for karma to get him?

He was masquerading as a franchise qb when everyone knows he’s just a really good career back up who isn’t good enough to be relied on for 16 games.

I’m more interested in Andy Reid’s excuse as to why his team scored zero points against the Pats in the AFCCG

Final score was 37 to 31. Looks like his team did score some points. It was a good thing the refs bailed out the Patriots because they looked like they were going to lose.

Will this be the year Watkins finally stays healthy and puts it all together?

Good question, the Chiefs can cut him after this season with only a $7 million cap hit if they decide to go with their younger guys, or possibly trade him. He’s a UFA in 2021.

Sammy’s only 26 right now too. He better ball out this year and next if he wants a lucrative deal in 2021, his age 28 season. And based on last week, looks like he is still capable of doing that.

Antonio Brown expected to miss 10-20 years.
    ———————————————————-
You do realize that Brown is facing a CIVIL suit? There are no criminal charges. (Which is why, even though I can’t stand Brown, I think this is a cash grab). So, even if the NFL suspends him, he will NOT be going to trial or facing any criminal charges or jail time.

Do my Raiders actually have a chance?
    ________________________________________
There is always a chance with the Chiefs defense. Until they prove different, the Raiders have a chance. The Chiefs will still hang at least 35 on the Raider though. Its a matter of how well will the Raiders offense perform against the Chiefs developing Defense.

  18. I see this as a win situation for the chiefs. Sorry that had to happen to hill, I cracked my clavicle and that hurt like hell, but at the very least it’s going to give the rookie some more chances to show off his skills. Also kelce will get alot more touches along with McCoy out the backfield. Sure it hurts any time a game breaker like hill goes out, but i think they are prepared to weather the loss.

  19. It’s really too bad his injury isn’t career ending. This guy is just not a good human being whatsoever.
