Report: Vernon Davis in concussion protocol

Washington tight end Vernon Davis played the entire game Sunday without any announcement of an injury, but he has apparently been diagnosed with a brain injury since the game.

Davis is in the NFL concussion protocol, according to TheAthletic.com.

That would mean Washington’s top two tight ends are out with concussions, as Jordan Reed has been out all season following a concussion in the preseason.

The 35-year-old Davis also missed the last two games of last season with a concussion.

  1. Probably his last game. Made lots of money and had fun. Cant keep injuring your brain like he has been. After football is too important.

  2. They wouldn’t have done much against Patriots’ D anyway. And Washington have the most flags this year (48) – so expect them to just try to drag it down to a dirty, scrappy game. And one that is so error-strewn on their part that Pats make them pay, 37-3 (17 from turnovers).

  3. Not the conspiracy type but I cant help but feel like someone has put something in the water at Redskins Park. What are the chances of three recored setting seasons for injuries – 3 years in a row? One of Dan’s Illuminati enemies has to have someone working deep cover to take down his franchise.

  4. I don’t think it’s a conspiracy theory or even bad luck that they’re breaking injury records. I think it’s just a poorly run medical staff, just like virtually everything about this team is poorly run.

This is going to be like the Miami game. Its so incredibly obvious that NE is going to absolutely destroy them that its cause to go into the game nervous NE could drop this one. I have never understood how that works exactly, but I have come to accept that it happens.

The good news though is that I just perfectly described Belichick’s thoughts. One of the rare times I am likely to have done that successfully.
