Richie Incognito: We were physical with Khalil Mack, and Bears didn’t like it

A big deal was made before the game about Khalil Mack having 17 sacks and the Raiders entire team 18 since the trade that sent him to Chicago. It’s now time to give the Raiders their due.

Mack had no sacks and the Raiders four in Oakland’s 24-21 win.

Josh Jacobs, whom the Raiders selected with one of the picks they received from the Bears, rushed for 123 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Mack didn’t talk after the game in violation of the NFL’s media access policy, but Raiders guard Richie Incognito talked enough for both of them.

“Of course we take that personally,” Incognito said, via Josh Dubow of the Associated Press. “He was talking about how he was looking forward to playing us and all that stuff. There’s history. We came out, and we were physical with him, and they didn’t like it.”

Since Mack joined the Bears last year, no team had scored 24 or more points and gained 398 or more yards against them in a regulation game until the Raiders did it Sunday, according to Dubow.

Mack finished with three tackles, a fumble recovery and one quarterback hit.

  1. Mack didn’t talk because he didn’t have anything to say. He was probably embarrassed that he talked all week, then is play today couldn’t back it up. Raiders tore the Bears apart today, the better team won today, plain and simple.

    Okay Richie.

Chicago lost because the backup QB threw 2 horrible interceptions. As backups tend to do.

Uh. Nope. The RAIDERS brought game.

The Raiders were missing almost their entire starting WRs core plus TWO main defensive players. That whiny little excuse ain’t cutting it…next man up as the Raiders had to. They were beat…plain an simple. Concentrate on your next opponent as the Raiders rest an recoup during next weeks bye week.

Hmm, good analogy, possibly true. But everyone knows Trubisky would have thrown 3 ints.

  5. A few days ago, I though the Bears would lose, because they were being arrogant. Gruden is a good coach, and he has a great TE and RB. Hicks was already injured before tonight, and now it looks like he’s out for the season. That’s going to take a surgery.

The Bears don’t have a great TE, and they certainly don’t have a great coach. Everything the Bears do is cutesy nonsense. Why did a 5’6″ RB get the start? Why hasn’t Anthony Miller developed at all? Why have we skipped QBs in the draft? I hope it wasn’t because of Chase Daniel, the guy that throws balls directly to the other team?

The worst of it was the OL. The Bears must have the worst OL in all of football.

So the raiders won their super bowl. Congrats.

Nope, we aren’t saying that. But we did win a game against a team and player that talked all week. And against the odds by “experts”. We will take this win. Glad a Bills fan likes to view Raiders / Bears threads, shows how relevant we are.

  7. As a Bears fan all I can say is the Raiders took it to my Bears. They pushed the Bear Defense and made it look like a pop Warner team. Tough game to watch as the only reason the game got close was because the raiders started acting like the raiders in the 3rd quarter. Oh well, time to move on.

If that was their Super Bowl then that would give them four, the same amount that the bills lost

  9. Richie speaketh the truth. We tried to give the game away in the 3rd quarter. But stepped up when it counted. Great Raiders win!

Remember, we own da Bears 1st and 3rd round picks in the next draft and da Bears own our 2nd. So this was a big big win.

  10. This game was lost and won in the trenches, it was surprising how the Raiders OL shoved the Bears DL around.

The NFL’s plan to screw the Raiders by giving them a lot of road games early is backfiring on them, there’s a lot of home games coming up.

Does that still matter if your backup QB is better than your starter?

  12. It’s interesting that Incognito is referenced in the article. The Raider O-line played much better with Incognito in there after his suspension. Sometimes a nasty guy can motivate a group. Not always, but sometimes. Congrats Raiders.

Should have been 3 Ints. BS roughing the passer call.

  14. This is right up there with some of the terrific wins Chucky had his first 2 years in Oak when he was building our last good teams.
CAREER, receiving totals before today for the four active WR for Oakland today

Ateman- 15 rec 154 yds., zero this year
    Renfrow 11 rec 89 yds
    Davis 9- 122, zero w/ Ok, 1 this yr w GB
    Doss 1 rec, 14 yds

Bears knew they had no outside threat and had to run Jacobs and they could not stop it. Beautiful. Hicks being out surely helped a lot. That was just grusome. Hope he is able to come back next year.

  15. Make no mistake, Raider Nation still loves Khalil Mack. He is a good dude and balled out for us. I will forever be a fan of his. That being said he did not deserve to have a chip with the Raiders. If he had reported to camp there would have been no way Gruden lets him leave the building. Mack and his agent chose the $, and the trade was good for him so put the ego in check.I hope he does well against everyone except the Raiders!!!
