PFT’s Week Six power rankings

1. Patriots (5-0; last week No. 1): FedEx Field will from this point forward be known as Gillette Stadium South.

2. Saints (4-1; No. 3): The Saints have gotten a glimpse of life without Drew Brees, and it looks much better than anyone would have expected.

3. Seahawks (4-1; No. 6): The team is rising in the rankings, and Russell Wilson is rising in the ranks of MVP candidates.

4. Packers (4-1; No. 7): No Davante Adams, still plenty of offensive output.

5. Chiefs (4-1; No. 2): The word is out on how to slow down the Chiefs. The Chiefs now have to come up with a way to counter it.

6. 49ers (4-0; No. 12): They’ve got a team built to win in January, and it’s looking more and more likely that they will get there.

7. Rams (3-2; No. 5): Their ability to win a third straight division title hinges on their ability to beat the 49ers in L.A. on Sunday.

8. Bills (4-1; No. 9): The second best team in the AFC East is the best third best team in the AFC.

9. Cowboys (3-2; No. 4): Against the Jets, the Cowboys will get another chance to make themselves think they can beat good teams, even if they currently can’t.

10. Ravens (3-2; No. 11): But for Marlon Humphrey‘s timely punch, the Ravens could be in a three-way slugfest for first place in the AFC North.

11. Eagles (3-2; No. 13): Bad news — three straight road games. Worse news — they’re at Minnesota, Dallas, and Buffalo.

12. Lions (2-1-1; No. 14): The NFC’s most overlooked team gets a chance at Lambeau Field on Monday night to put everyone on notice.

13. Panthers (3-2; No. 19): With Christian McCaffrey, they could put Jake Delhomme at quarterback and still win games.

14 (tie). Bears (3-2; No. 8): Beat the Vikings, lose to the Raiders.

14 (tie). Raiders (3-2; No. 22): Lose to the Vikings, beat the Bears.

14 (tie). Vikings (3-2; No. 21): Beat the Raiders, lose to the Bears.

17. Colts (3-2; No. 24): Beating the Chiefs makes up for losing to the Raiders, sort of.

18. Texans (3-2; No. 20): Deshaun Watson gets a chance to cement his own MVP candidacy on Sunday against MVP favorite Patrick Mahomes.

19. Browns (2-3; No. 10): Blowout loss, long flight home, short week, rested Seahawks will make it very hard to avoid falling to 2-4.

20. Chargers (2-3; No. 15): The close games aren’t going the Chargers’ way this year, which means they may go the way of missing the postseason.

21. Jaguars (2-3; No. 16): Gardner Minshew can do a lot, but he can’t tackle Christian McCaffrey.

22. Titans (2-3; No. 17): The team that wins when they should lose and loses when they should win needs desperately to break that cycle in Denver.

23. Buccaneers (2-3; No. 18): It’s basically an NFC South elimination game for the Bucs on Sunday in London, only two weeks after they grabbed everyone’s attention by stunning the Rams.

24. Steelers (1-4; No. 23): An electric cart that won’t run may end up being the perfect metaphor for Pittsburgh’s entire season.

25. Giants (2-3; No. 25): They played better than the final score indicated, but the showing against Minnesota shows just how far this team has to go.

26. Broncos (1-4; No. 28): Don’t rule out a bit of a run from a team that may have been written off too soon.

27. Falcons (1-4; No. 26): With Jay Gruden fired, Dan Quinn assumes the hottest seat in the NFL.

28. Cardinals (1-3-1; No. 30): A few more potential wins are lurking on the schedule, but not many.

29. Jets (0-4; No. 27): Gregg Williams could still set the record for consecutive years being an interim head coach who has zero shot at the permanent job.

30. Bengals (0-5; No. 29): Officially, 20,000 seats were empty. Unofficially, fewer than 20,000 seats were filled.

31. Dolphins (0-4; No. 32): In a rematch of Super Bowl VII, Miami may need a Garo Yepremian play or two to successfully continue the Tank for Tua track.

32. Washington (0-5; No. 31): Bad look — The team made Bruce Allen available for only 13 minutes to discuss the state of the most dysfunctional franchise in football. Good look — Bruce Allen didn’t talk for longer than 13 minutes.

  1. As a 49er hater, John Lynch has done a spectacular job with this team. There’s nobody left over from the Harbaugh years and they’re looking scary.

  2. Watch us climb this chart with our 5 golden rings, What is the best thing about being 4-0? The chance to go 5-0. #LetsGoNiners!

  3. Dallas ahead of Philly?? Strength of wins favors Philly and they both have y
record but the Eagles beat the Packers at GB who beat Dallas in Dallas.
(Also note Eagles could be 5-0 if not for 2 egregious drops to end the Falcons and Lions game)

  4. Dolphins v Redskins may prove to be the dysfunction Superbowl. Playing for first round pick…

  5. A 3 way tie at the 14th spot? Once again shows how whack your power rankings are. Just assign a number geez

  6. 9ers opponents combined record is 5-15. Let’s pump the brakes a tad. They have an insanely easy schedule and had the easiest 4 games to start the season. The seahawks and the rams have some catching up to do, but I dont think the 9ers can sustain this once they start playing quality teams.

  7. Lions win on Monday night against Erin. I expect the Lions to win handily, even with the +-5 penalties that will be unjustified and benefit Erin and team.

  8. Normally I would say the Bills are probably going to come back down to earth soon but I noticed their next 5 games include Miami twice, Washington, Philly, Cleveland, and Denver. The possibility of the Bills starting 9-2, 8-3 is astounding.

49ers should be Number 1, they are undefeated against better opposition than the Patriots.
    ______________________________________________

The Bucs, The Bengals and the Browns aren’t any better than who the Pats have played. In fact they smoked the Steelers with Ben, the 49ers beat a back-up by 4 points. They also played the Bills who are way better than any team San Fran has played.

  10. Seattle is finally getting the attention it deserves. I don’t think we will know how good this Patriots team is until about week 13 and the Redskins, Bengals, Dolphins and Jets are all solid candidates to go winless…except in some fashion or other they play each other! And I still don’t see any great teams, just five or six really lousy ones!

  11. I’m a Niners fan and I think you should leave us at your preseason ranking of 28. I like being the underdog. Everyone can keep thinking we’re not for real and we’ll keep proving you wrong.

The straws you are grasping are getting very tiny.

  15. Bears have been exposed as the frauds that I have been saying they were all summer. The talent on defense is there. The EGO of the coach more than anything will be the downfall of the Bears. This team peaked. And the downfall was when a rookie coach couldn’t take accountability for a playoff loss. Instead, he blamed a kicker. That missed kick still haunts him. Take a look in the mirror Nagy. You aren’t the genius you think you are. Maybe you need to change up the gimmick plays that you script? It won’t matter because the Bears will remain in last in the NFCN!

    Dear Desperate Colts Fan,

NE is the defending CB champs. Until they lose, your argument is stupid. They don’t make the schedule.

Don’t be shocked if takes a while for them to lose, too.

  17. I hate the Pats, but agree that regardless of who they’ve played they should remain number one until someone beats them. They are the defending champs and have earned that top spot.

  18. All the comments about the 49ers, and having them as the 4th best team in the entire NFL, is still out to the jury. The niners have not played a team with a winning record. Based on what is being said the niners should only lose two to three games this entire season. Looking at it now, they probably have the easiest first half of season in the nfl.

Check their results on September 29 genius. Someone as obsessed as you are with all
    things Patriots should know that.

  20. The Texans are on a 11-1 run vs AFC teams in the regular season and are 12-4 in their last 16 games. There QB just posted a perfect passer rating of 158.3 in his last game. Yet PFT finds 17 teams that are better.

  21. Cowboys beat the three worst teams in football, lost to a backup QB and lost at home to the Packers (who the Eagles beat in Lambeau).
    Fine.

  22. Chiefs #5? That’s crazy. And I’m a Patriots fan. How to stop KC? Play them when Hill and Watkins are out and Mahomes is hobbled. In addition, if you’re going to play man to man (the latest “blueprint”) against them, you’d better have a secondary that can match their speed.

As a Lion fan, I admire him for coming back from that gruesome injury. I understand why the Vikings moved on though. The probability coming back from something like that and play again has to be under 5%. For that I tip my hat to him for his perseverance. Beat Steelers with Ben healthy, beat Buffalo who won all their other games. Nice try.

  26. I really think the complaining about strength of schedule is bogus.
Any team that is currently 4-1, 4-0 or 5-0 deserves to be on top in the power rankings.

The NFL is tough week to week.

And I love the 3 way tie for 14th. It clearly shows that WHO you play doesn’t matter.
It’s all about PREP for the game you have that week.

    ———

You play the teams in front of you. We beat the Bucs decisively and they went on to blow out the Rams. We tore up the Browns last night and they blew out the Ravens a few days before. There’s no reason the niners can’t do the same with the “good” teams. I don’t know if they’re SB contenders yet but I know they’re for real with a bruising defense and run game.

  28. Way too much respect for the Ravens. Their three victories are against teams who have COMBINED won two games. They still haven’t beaten anyone good yet

  29. Pats are gonna end up playing 6 of the bottom 9 teams, 2 of them twice. They will have a tough 6 gm stretch down the road though. Then 3 tough teams in the playoffs and SBowl.

  30. As a Hawks fan I am really excited about the Niners rise.

As Pete Carroll believes, competition breeds excellence. The Rams seemed to have taken a small step back but not a huge one and boom, here are the Niners again….back after a few years off.

Whoever comes out of the NFC West will be battle tested and ready for the playoffs. Two teams could come from the nfcw.

Meanwhile, Tom Brady has the Jets and the Dolphins to worry about…

  31. This league is about nothing if not redemption. It may be a long road, but teams have the opportunity for redemption each season.

Looks like 2019 may be the ‘Niners’ year — after a long long walk in the desert.

For the Browns, maybe 2020 will be the year.

For Washington, redemption is only a glimmer in the unreachable distance.

  32. Bills are way to high. Their record does not reflect there ability nor does it reflect their aptitude for CTE. Punted like 6 times with a turn over on downs. Defense is good-ish but I’m not convinced of that offence. 3rd best team in the AFC is is bit of a stretch. Texans and Jags could beat this team. Reminder: Bills barely beat the Jets and haven’t won convincingly against any team this season.

I do have a jags bias so take that as you will.

  33. I can’t really complain about where the Eagles are, but the Packers are way too high. We shredded them. We’ve lost two games by a combined total of what? Seven points? I guess we’ll find out.

  34. I expect Vikings fans everywhere are cursing out their team’s decision to move on from Teddy Bridgewater. Saints fans on the other hand, are quite pleased.

  35. Worried about the Patriots O line. Definitely need to shore it up for the long run.

  36. Just as the underrated Eagles were the best 2-2 team last week and ranked too low, they are the best 3-2 team this week and ranked too low again.

Rams and Browns are both too high.

  37. I really like the three-way tie at 14 because it pokes at the people who say “how can you have my team below this team when we beat them?” There’s always something like this where the team you beat beat the team you lost to. I was wondering where these teams would be ranked after the Vikings destroyed the Raiders in Week 3, the Bears destroyed the Vikings in Week 4, and the Raiders beat the Bears in Week 5. Perfect solution. People don’t need to get worked up by the rankings; it will all work itself out at the end of the season.

  38. Considering that was a couple weeks ago, your rankings make zero sense. 14 is too high for the Vikings but SF in the playoffs after 4 tomato can games. Mike you’re better than that. Well, probably not.

14 (tie). Bears (3-2; No. 8): Beat the Vikings, lose to the Raiders.

14 (tie). Raiders (3-2; No. 22): Lose to the Vikings, beat the Bears.

14 (tie). Vikings (3-2; No. 21): Beat the Raiders, lose to the Bears.

    Thanks.

  41. I’m not saying he is, but for those haters that wanted to say Brady is just a system QB and Pats can win with anyone blah blah blah. By your own logic, Brees should now officially be labeled a system QB too. His backup is 3-0 and playing about as good as him, and looking like the best in their conference.

You see how that works? Don’t disrespect greatness.

  43. The John Gruden bashing on this site has stopped. Its nice to see Laces out and MDS wrong again. I wonder when they will give Gruden some credit. I won’t hold my breath.

  44. The only team I have issue with being in your top 10 is the 49ers. They haven’t earned #6 yet.

    They beat the Buccaneers(2-3)… Bengals(0-5)… Steelers(1-4) and Browns(2-3). A combined record of (5-15).

If they beat the Rams then maybe, but until then… Not #6.

  45. “I was wondering where these teams would be ranked”

    ==========

Your precious Vikings are Florio’s fav team. No one else on earth cares where he ranks them. It is always higher than they actually should be.

The fact you take time to ponder these rankings is laughable at best.

    Poor Barney

  46. 1. Patriots (5-0; last week No. 1): FedEx Field will from this point forward be known as Gillette Stadium South.

    ————————————-

False. It was already Lincoln Financial Field South, MetLife Stadium South and Heinz Field South.

  47. In 2011, the Green Bay Packers had the kind of season the Patriots are having this year. Every week they faced a team in the middle of a 4 game losing streak and who were starting a new QB that week or a rookie QB. I compiled and presented the stats and everyone laughed at me. If they didn’t lose to KC unexpectedly in Week 13 or 14 (KC was debuting Romeo Crennel as a nee coach that week and I think Kyle orton took over that week as Qb), they would have finished 16-0.

  48. As a Bear fan, personally I think the 3 way tie is hilarious. That being said the Bears were exposed! For whatever reason,Roquan didnt seem interested in any contact,Leno, and Long keep getting pushed off the line(its like watching a couple of turn-styles,and yes I have never played professional football) but obviously it cant get much worse.Lastly, can I get some of my Bear brethern to finally admit,Chase is NOT better than Mitch.Sorry for the long comment, and thank you to the ones that patiently read the entire thing.

    ___________

    I don’t.

  52. This power ranking is a fake, it is completely predicated on what Florio thinks is going to happen the following week and not what transpired the previous week. How do you rank the Cowboys ahead of the Eagles if you evaluate the quality of their respective wins? The Cowboys beat the Giants (with Manning), Dolphins and Redskins – the were somewhat competitive against the Saints who clearly had to water down the offense with Teddy that week, but where completely outclassed by the Packers in Dallas. So the only justification for having them in the top 10 is predicated on the fact that they will beat another bottom feeding team in the Jets. The Cowboys have literally beating (by Florio’s own rankings) the worst, the 2nd worst and the 8th worst teams in the NFL and are facing the 4th worst team this upcoming week. If Dallas isn’t a paper tiger I don’t know of any team who is . . . and that strength of schedule coupled with two pretty bad losses land them in the top 10 . . . are you freaking kidding me.

  53. A Frisco fan’s slightly biased power ranking:

    1. Patriots 2. 49ers 3. Packers 4. Chiefs 5. Saints 6. Lions 7. Eagles 8. Vikings 9. Bears 10. LAmbs 11. Sea Dorks 12. Bills 13. Cowboys 14. Texans 15. Ravens 16. Colts 17. Bucs 18. Browns 19. Raiders 20. Titans 21. Panthers 22. Giants 23. Chargers 24. Jaguars 25. Steelers 26. Cardinals 27. Falcons 28. Broncos 29. Jets. 30. Bengals 31. Dolphins 32. Redskins

  54. I am picking the Dawg Pound to beat the Sea Dorks this weekend. That is why I ranked them behind the LAmbs. Dawgs pound the Dorks.

  55. Dallas is over rated! they can only beat losing teams and this has been proved twice!

  56. Please drop the Bills down on this list. There’s nothing to see here, keep ignoring us until January when we see ya in the playoffs.

I don’t mind the 3 way tie. But keep in mind that the Bears deployed Chase Daniel against the Vikings and Raiders.

    ——————————————————————–

Raiders – 4 sacks, Bears – ZERO. Mack has a negligible game while the 1st round pick they gave up for him runs for 123 yards and 2 TDs… Against Mack and that Bears defense. Nothing to do with your boy Chase Daniel. Who, btw, almost led them back to a win.

  61. The Seahawks remain a darling of the “experts”, despite having a total of one win vs one good football team, and with help from the officials and a missed FG at that.

The 3rd best team in the NFL, really? There are at least 3-4 other teams in the NFC alone that will roll them in the playoffs.

    Come on Man!

  62. Packers are treated Special buy the refs and the NFL, I hate the London games, but if the rest of the league has to do it so do the Packers. Talk about a users friendly schedule???The NFL saved the Packers buy putting the Salary Cap in place so shut the hell up and consider yourself lucky to be around, also the NFL allowed them to sell the useless stock a couple of times so, just-unbelievable

  63. GB over rated need ref help to win most weeks, but god forbid a call goes against them- good or bad they don’t care how they win.

  64. Cowboys should be dropped more. They lost to the Saints with Brees out, granted still a pretty good team, and got absolutely spanked until it was completely out of hand at home against a Packers squad that isn’t even a top 5 team. The degree to which they were dominated is very alarming, and taken into consideration along with their wins being against some of the very worst teams in the leauge, well, they should be lower.

  65. As a Patriots fan, I’m hesitant to think too much of this offense. I’d give the Defense an A+, the Offense a very cautious and optimistic B and the Special Teams….an incomplete. Usually ST on the Patriots is solid as Belichick thinks a lot of this phase of the game but lots of unknowns right now.

They don’t play a real team until Baltimore in week 9… the rest are just trap games which could still end up as a loss if they don’t take them seriously.

  66. The Vikes are where they deserve to be, although I did get a kick out of the Bears fan noting poor performance was due to Trubisky being out — that made my day.

  67. Just curious as to what the pictures Dak Prescott has of Florio contain… There is no logical reason why a team that was destroyed by the Packers (without Adams), lost to the Saints (without Brees) and have only beaten teams in the bottom 5 of your ranking should be in the top 10. This is egregious!

  68. Pats are gonna end up playing 6 of the bottom 9 teams, 2 of them twice. They will have a tough 6 gm stretch down the road though. Then 3 tough teams in the playoffs and SBowl.

Even then I’m sure the complainers would think of something, it was Home vs away Game , sun wasn’t out, too cold, too hot, injuries, bad officials, dropped passes, etc…

20 years and folks still try to diminish what they’ve accomplished. Maybe, Just maybe, this Brady and Belichick guy are pretty good.

Wait..even Bear fans are trashing Trubisky. Keep reveling in one good year. Bears have been exposed. The Bears have the 30th ranked offense with a supposed great quarterback and an offensive mastermind as coach. FACT…let that sink in

  78. The 2019 Patriots’ defense are the first team since the 1988 Cleveland Browns to not allow a passing touchdown through the first five weeks of the season. The defense ranks 1st in scoring, allowing 6.8 points per game. For scoring offense, they rank 3rd best, averaging 31 points per game. Yet, some fans think they shouldn’t be number one? Have they not appeared in three of the past five super bowls? This is funny stuff. This is why some folks should steer clear from sports betting.

  79. 2. Saints (4-1; No. 3): The Saints have gotten a glimpse of life without Drew Brees, and it looks much better than anyone would have expected.

49ers should be Number 1, they are undefeated against better opposition than the Patriots.

Sorry, but the undefeated team that has played one more game than the other undefeated team gets to be ranked ahead.

I am picking the Dawg Pound to beat the Sea Dorks this weekend. That is why I ranked them behind the LAmbs. Dawgs pound the Dorks.

I’m not sure that Baby Mayfield can handle any more whooping. Sherman and Bosa were all over him last nite. Looks like Rex Ryan was right.

  82. Chiefs are decidedly average with a hobbled Mahomes. A tweaked ankle just doesn’t magically get better. It will bother him the rest of the season and end with a playoff loss, most likely in the wild card round.
If the Colts keep playing like they did Sunday night they will end up with a 1st rd bye.

Why listen to Colts fans at all really.

  85. No one seems to dispute that Washington belongs at #32. Except may Jets fans who think they belong there. Can we have a Not-So-Super Bowl to settle the issue once and for all?

  86. Cowboys at 9? Still way to high. Beating the Jets this week should drop them a few more spots.

Texans defense cant corral Mahommes! Five TD’s last week was an anomaly not the norm.

9ers opponents combined record is 5-15. Let’s pump the brakes a tad. They have an insanely easy schedule and had the easiest 4 games to start the season. The seahawks and the rams have some catching up to do, but I dont think the 9ers can sustain this once they start playing quality teams.

    **********8
Wait The Patriots want to disagree with you on that. Their combined opponents record is 5-18. The Patriots are VERY good, but it would be nice if they had to play an NFL schedule this year. The SEC West would have been a tougher schedule so far…

  88. Mahomes and Russell Wilson: hate to play them, but you gotta love them as players and as citizens. They make everybody around them better.

We’ll find out how good Andy Reid is adjusting to a reduced mobility Mahomes. The field width with KC on offense just narrowed 15 yards from its usual 52+. KC should still win 11 games and be on the upswing come late-November.

  89. A “ Not-So-Super Bowl”, I love it. We could have playoffs for the 1st overall pick in the draft.

According to Pro Football Reference’s 2019 NFL Opposition and Defensive Statistics, it is 6.8 points. This shouldn’t matter either way, though. They should be facing better offenses soon to help challenge them, such as the Ravens, Cowboys, Chiefs, Eagles, and Texans.

Patriots win 33-3. Ben goes down the next week.

The defense has given up 3-0-0-10-7.That’s 20 points in 5 games. The TEAM also gave up muffed punt TD and pick-6 for a total of 34 in 5 games.

No, that’s not it. The Patriots won the Super Bowl last year and haven’t lost a game yet. Until someone knocks them off there’s no reason to move them. They can only play the teams on their schedule, so it doesn’t matter what competition they have played.

  96. The 49ers could realistically go 7-1 in the first half of the season and 1-7 in the 2nd half. Has there ever been a more cupcake schedule over the first 5 games of a season? We won’t know who they really are until about week 12 when they’ve played a couple decent teams.

  97. 20 years and folks still try to diminish what they’ve accomplished. Maybe, Just maybe, this Brady and Belichick guy are pretty good.
    ———

Look, I understand what you’re saying saying and to some extent you’re right… it is the NFL and every game can be lost as a trap game.

However, if you try to sit there with a straight face and say you have no idea what people are talking about when they point out how weak your division is (which gives the Patriots a playoff berth every single year no matter what), then you are a fraudulent homer.

    ——

The nice thing to know is that with the Seahawks and Rams in their division they will for sure be tested. We will all know who is what by the end of the year.

  99. So the niners dominate 3 teams and the Seahawks barely beat the Bengals and steelers, lose to a Bridgewater led saints in Seattle, are gifted a win after a missed zuerlein kick and they are superbowl contenders but the niners have only beat cans? Makes sense

    —–

Yes times 1000!! Thank you!! The Seahawks barely beat the Bengals AT HOME probably because of the blown call. We blow them out on the road. They barely beat the Steelers. We do the same. They get blown out by a Brees-less Saints team AT HOME. Then almost give the game away to a struggling Rams team and only win because of a missed kick. But they’re still a SB contender? Yeah ok!! Not necessarily saying we’re SB contenders either but let’s look at everything in context.

    ***********************
Their bruising defense and run game has been earned against sub-par teams. Let them beat the Rams and the Seahawks and then I’ll be convinced. Until then all of it can be written off to parity in the NFL.

    —–

Something tells me you won’t be convinced either way. That’s fine. But how are the Seahawks and Rams still a standard for talent these days? The hawks barely beat the Bengals, Steelers and won against the Rams only because of a missed FG. Not to mention the Brees-less Saints blowing them out at home. The Rams got blown out by the Bucs and have looked very human since the SB. Parity is what this league is all about. The Giants won 2 fairly recent superbowls on a 9-7 and 10-6 record.

  102. Come on Niner lurkers I know you are there, don’t hold back. You have been there for years reading about how great the Seahawks and Rams are…all salty.

Now is your time to shine.

As you and Jim Harbaugh know, it can all go south pretty quick.

  103. KC took it easy since they have so many injuries and it’s great to lower the pressure by ending a decent winning streak..beee cause, every week you go undefeated is like playing the Super Bowl EVERY SINGLE GAME! Chiefs know they have to be rested and healthy in December so right now I don’t know how they’ll do against the Texans this week. Could be a lost season if their defense is really that bad.

    ———–

Breaking down special teams I would say, Punting A+, Punt coverage A, Kick off A, Kick off Coverage C, FG D, FG coverage B.

Also… Does Baltimore have a good team or not? Cleveland smashed them and SF handled CLE, but division games are hard to judge. Also, Dallas game looks easier now than it did initially.

    KC took it easy

    ——

Correction: KC got smacked in the mouth and didn’t respond well. They remind me a lot of the Peyton Manning Colts teams. Lot’s of offensive talent, soft and a putrid defense.

  106. As much as I love the Patriots, I think the Saints should be at the top here. Pats had a poor first half against one of the worst teams in the league. Since their opening loss to the Vikings Saints continue to take care of business against some very good teams.

I think Baltimore has a team that is capable of putting up a very good game, but I wouldn’t call them a good team. They are way too inconsistent and undisciplined (a theme for them for their entire franchise history). Jackson is electrifying to watch when he runs. I understand them protecting their investment, but as a fan of football in general, I think him running is good for interest in the game. Baltimore can beat anyone on their schedule, but I would never put a bet on them.

The only way to take the Patriots seriously is to have them play the #2 seeded team on your power rankings each And every week.

    _____________________________________________________________________________________

There is no denying that they are pretty good.. just like there is no denying that over the past 20 years they’ve had a decided advantage by playing in the absolute worst division in football. And yeah people, rightfully, get angry when they have to watch the super bowl champions stroll to home field advantage by playing crap teams for the first 6 weeks of the season (not to mention they get to play two tanking teams TWICE)

  109. PM is injured. Nothing else to discuss regarding KC. If he heals….they are the best team in the NFL
