Davante Adams remains out of practice

Packers wide receiver Davante Adams missed last Sunday’s game with a turf toe injury and he’s not ready to get back on the field yet.

The Packers began on-field preparation for their Monday night game with the Lions on Thursday, but Adams was not among the players taking part in the session.

There was word after Adams was hurt in the Week Four loss to the Eagles that the injury was not believed to be serious. Missing two games might not qualify as a departure from that label, but it certainly isn’t ideal for the Packers offense.

That unit got better news regarding running back Jamaal Williams. Williams was concussed in the same game that Adams hurt his toe and missed Week Five, but he was back on the practice field Thursday.

  1. Good news on Jamaal and Corey Linsley also practiced.👍

I still expect Davante to play this week, but let’s see what happens.🤞

  2. I’ll hand it to free. Davante was out and they didn’t miss a beat.

  3. Want GB at it’s best, that way no excuses from either side.

  4. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lions pulled a victory with Adams on the field. I’m not calling it an upset if the Lions win. They have a good team.

  5. Definitely another daunting task if GB has to go to battle without Adams in the fold.
But this is the NFL, injuries are par for the course and teams have to make use of their depth, or scheme well enough to compensate for them.
    No excuses.

The Lions are going to be another tough out and I expect it to be a real dogfight.
Detroit has played really well this season and could realistically be 3-1 right now.
Hopefully the Gold Rush can get after Stafford and Co. and force some more early errors.
It’s been a winning formula so far.

Green Bay, with a win, could really put an early stranglehold on the division.
A ton is at stake Monday night.
    Looking forward to it.

Oh Boy! More seeing that vaunted Packer’s WR depth. How many WR catches from how many WR targets for how many yards last week?

Who cares? Nine different players caught passes last week. Cousins doesn’t know the names of nine teammates.

    Scoreboard (again,)

  7. Cousins doesn’t know the names of nine teammates.

A little projection say you. Cousins has his limitations but being a bad teammate is not one. That a Rodgers’ attribute.

  9. The Packers are now getting extremely confident in the new system. Can you imagine how explosive they’ll be once Adams comes back?

This Lions team is pretty good. They could battle the Bears for second in the division. At this point the Packers are the clear favorite.

  10. Kevin King practiced today as well. He tweaked a little something after that pick in Dallas, but it appears all is well.👍

I also wouldn’t count Davante out for the Detroit game just yet. The Packers are on a little different practice schedule this week because of the Monday Night game. Today was the first pratice of the week when normally that would be Wednesday.
