Packers list Aaron Rodgers as limited by knee injury

The Packers had a long injury report on Thursday and it included quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers was listed as a limited participant due to a knee issue. It’s the first time that Rodgers has been listed on an injury report this season and the Packers will have two more days of practice before issuing injury designations for Monday night’s game against the Lions.

The Packers listed 19 other players on Thursday’s report. As previously reported, wide receiver Davante Adams did not practice due to a toe injury and running back Jamaal Williams practiced for the first time since a Week Four concussion. Williams was a full participant in practice.

Center Corey Linsley, who suffered a concussion last Sunday, was limited. Defensive lineman Montravius Adams (shoulder), tackle Bryan Bulaga (rest), defensive lineman Kenny Clark (calf), tight end Jimmy Graham (rest), cornerback Kevin King (knee, groin), tight end Marcedes Lewis (hip), safety Will Redmond (shoulder), wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring, calf) and cornerback Tramon Williams (back) were also limited.

Cornerback Tony Brown (hamstring), safety Darnell Savage (ankle) and tight end Robert Tonyan (hip) didn’t practice.

  1. 20 on the injury report. Don’t get too excited Vikings fan. A few of those are veteran rest days like Bulaga and Graham. I tend to believe Aaron being on the report is more about that as well.

  2. Well, now this is serious. Aaron is always hurt. But this time it’s not his feelings. If he’s got a bad wheel we’re probably in trouble. Adams is out, too, and he’s our best player. Don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll score 50 in the first half so we can coast the rest of the game into a win. That is, as long as our defense can hold the roar to a snore. Let’s stay delusional, fellow Packer fans.

  3. In case anyone is wondering, the current standings are:

    Packers
    Lions
    Bears

    And then…

Vikings. At the bottom. I’m the cellar. Literally the worst possible position to be in. Where they belong.

Truer words have never been spoken.

  5. Yes, the Barneys keep trying to rationalize and trivialize the early season returns in a variety of ways, desperately reaching for some kind of sad and pathetic validation.

The NFL is a results based business and the Packers and their fans are clearly focused on the Lions and the task at hand.
    Always Moving Forward.
The rest is just insignificant noise in the background.

  6. Maybe Rodgers’ knee injury is why his passer rating in the 4th of each game this year is ranked near or at the bottom of the league, 25th, 22nd, 32nd, 32nd and 33rd, respectively.

Nah, he is just old, banged up and fading

  7. Lafleur doesn’t know he can cheat the list. Every team has guys dinged up by now but don’t list every player who doesn’t fully participate in practice.

  8. Rodgers on injury report. And what do Packers fans have to talk about? The Vikings. Such a strange bunch. Btw: You have a 1 game lead, with 11 to play and your savior with a gimpy knee. Start your excuses now to beat the rush.
