Jason Peters is “week to week” with knee

The Eagles are going to be making a change at left tackle, for the foreseeable future.

Coach Doug Pederson just told reporters that veteran tackle Jason Peters was “week-to-week” with his knee injury.

The 37-year-old Peters was injured in last week’s loss to the Vikings.

That means that rookie Andre Dillard will likely slide into the starting lineup, a switch that seemed eventual when they drafted him in the first round this year. Now the question will be whether he stays in that role for good.

  1. This was a matter of “when” and not “if”. JP has been dinged up for the last three years which is a shame because he truly is among the very best when his body is right. Glad he was an Eagle as long for a good long stretch.

  2. For those who don’t speak Doug Pederson, “Day to Day” usually means a player will be out 1-3 weeks, and “week to week” could mean out anywhere from 4 weeks to the entire season

Pederson comes from the Whinebaugh school of disingenuous and wishful thinking injury announcements.

    “He’ll be fine”…..

2 weeks later: “so and so is going to IR”

    lol

It’s because they don’t have confidence in their depth or back ups in cap hells.

His body is breaking down. Good luck, big fella.

The Eagles are simply falling apart with their old roster.

While the roster is rather old, the injuries on the defense involve younger players.

time for Robert Quinn or DeMarcus Lawrence to feast on the rookie left tackle.

Same can be said for Cowboys Oline injuries.

  6. I know Dillard is meant to be the long term replacement for JP but its too early to throw him in at the deep end.

Please dont all hate at once but what about big V?

He has experience in the position, mind he stepped in halfway through superbowl year and was at least solid if unspectacular?

Any which way though, heal up quick big guy, we need ya
