Adrian Peterson had MRI on ankle

Washington running back Adrian Peterson popped up on the injury report yesterday, and apparently popped into a doctor’s office as well.

According to Les Carpenter of the Washington Post, the veteran running back had an MRI on his injured right ankle. He suffered the injury during the third quarter of the team’s loss to the 49ers.

Peterson fumbled on the play, blaming himself for the loss — even though he might have been the only offensive player who stood out last week.

With the Vikings up next on Thursday night, Peterson’s condition will obviously be closely watched — and crucial to their chances against his old team.

  1. Peterson is a freak of nature ! This guy has amazing healing abilities ! He wont stay down long !

  2. That pretty much sums up his whole career. He fumbles away seasons. He fumbled away the Super Bowl. He never bothered to learn another way to carry the ball. The Vikings wouldn’t have had a chance to make the NFCCG & host the Seahawks without him so there you go but still yeah his fumbles well one was charged to Favre but it was his caused both losses.

  3. He’ll still suit up. He knows, just being on the field with the Vikings, is a privilege.

  4. Yeah… a-drain peterson has… uhh… “amazing healing abilities”.

FACT: Teams get better WITHOUT a-drain peterson

  5. I hope he plays because I can’t wait to see him get all amped up and run all over the place trying to find a hole before he gets thrown for a loss.
