Bears say Eagles were drawing them offside

The Bears lost to the Eagles in a penalty-filled game today, but the Bears thought the Eagles, and the officials, were to blame for some of their penalties.

Specifically, the Bears accused Eagles center Jason Kelce of illegally moving the ball to get Bears players to jump offside.

“Man, you see the bull s–t Kelce was kind of doing with the ball,” Khalil Mack said after the game, via Adam Hoge of WGN. “Just moving it a little bit. But, even then, can’t make excuses. That’s not the type of group we have.”

Bears coach Matt Nagy hinted after the game that he didn’t think his own players were to blame for their offside penalties, although he seemed to be careful not to sound like he was criticizing the officials or making excuses. Nagy knows any excuse would ring hollow.

  1. Mack should shut up and be the Saviour he claimed to be pre-Raiders game in London. Thanks for the draft picks suckers!!!!

  2. If the game was being played in green bay, then we all know the refs were behind those accusations

  3. I won’t be complaining how bad the refereeing crew is or how the other team’s players better adjusted to the unmentioned crew & got away with stuff. I just won’t do that……

  4. So wait, Mack makes a bunch of excuses, then follow that up by saying we can’t make excuses? Wow, not a very articulate guy…..

  5. Don’t worry, Nagy will do a bizarre offside re-enactment drill during practice this week to help put it behind them by fixating on it.

  6. Clelin Ferrell – 4th overall pick has 1 QB PRESSURE since week 1. That’s pressure, not hit or sack.

Raiders have been such failures the past 20 years that an extra first round pick is their super bowl. Laughable.

  7. Actually, making excuses is exactly the kind of team they have. Extraordinarily disappointing as a Bears fan to see so little leadership and accountability to go along with the underperforming of so many players. Even worse is GM Ryan Pace showing himself to be a small man by going into deep hiding while this cast of clowns he put together embarrasses themselves weekly.

  8. The Philthy team is worthless and will fade fast when it plays teams with good records. The Bears are a mirage. Mack has never been more than a part time player and he is being exposed as a fraud (just like Ewwin Donald in LA is a regular season joke that turns into a disappearing act in the playoffs).

The Bears earned contempt by thinking they were good after last year.

Now reality has set it – always wonderful to see whiners do what they do best – whine and lose.

  9. Fans need to stop going to the Games and buying Bears Merchandise Stop filling the Mccasky family pockets with money. If Fans dont collectively work together we will never win a Superbowl if the Mccasky family own this team.I personally think the Bears died when Pappa Bear died.

What’s laughable is your post, the Raiders chose Josh Jacobs with one of the 1st round picks from the Bears and he alone made the trade worth it, never made another 1st round pick next year and $24 million in cap space.

The Bears have no cap room and no QB, meaning no future.

  11. If this were true it’d be the first I’ve ever heard any allegations of wrongdoing on Kelce’s part with moving the football.

-What do you have to say about this Coach Nagy?

-Let me be clear with you… wait up, need my Theme Music [starts playing Final Countdown from iPhone Speaker]… OK, I’m back. So let me repeat to you… ahem, Let mbe be perfecly clear, I have zero concern with Jason Kelce fake-snapping the football, do you understand me? ZERO. Now, if anybody has questions about Mitch or my offense, I’d like you to watch a special movie that is near and dear to my heart, Rudy…

  12. What a whiner. NFL players are going to do whatever they can to get you to blow it. Kelce is probably the league’s best center. Once you know what he’s doing either tell the ref or adapt. Oh, and did we cause false starts and late hits, too? What about the few questionable holding calls that went against us? Seriously, blaming the refs here when you were dominated for most of the game is a joke.

How many times did we hear Bears players use the N word on the TV broadcast today? Nobody mentions it, I wonder why?
    ===========================================================
I listened to the game in Dolby surround sound with volume up high…I didn’t hear it. I always listen to hear players talking. I’m more concerned with my fellow African Americans who continue to say it indiscriminately, no matter where they are or who they’re with.

  14. Remember when Bears fans were laughing at the Raiders for the Mack trade ?
Well it looks like we will be enjoying that first round pick you owe us all compliments of Mack.

  15. That’s a good job by Khalil Mack. He blames Kelce, hopefully distracting everybody from knowing he has only 1 sack during this 4 game losing streak. He’s also tied for #22 in the league for total sacks and there is approximately 150 players ahead of him in total tackles, all while having the NFLs’ second highest contract. Obviously, Khalil is a great player, but show some accountability before using the Jason Kelce tricked us ploy.

Why do people keep saying this? they have like $18m in cap space, and there is always the ability to restructure/cut/trade players… I’m confused.

Can anyone send me a link where it shows the Bears have “no cap room”…. cause the one i found shows they have plenty.
