The Packers activated safety Ibraheim Campbell off the physically unable to perform list Tuesday, the team announced.

Campbell has not played since tearing an anterior cruciate ligament against the Cardinals on Dec. 2.

He played 112 defensive snaps and 64 on special teams in three games with the Packers in 2018. Campbell also has played for the Browns, Texans, Cowboys and Jets since Cleveland drafted him in the fourth round in 2015.

The Packers waived linebacker Tim Williams in a corresponding move.

Williams played only two special teams snaps after the Packers claimed him off waivers Oct. 3.

  1. Campbell will help in that hybrid LB/Safety role on defense. Really have missed that since Raven Greene got hurt.

I want this W against Carolina bad! You just don’t know.😉

It will be huge difference to go into the bye 8-2 rather than at 7-3. This game is also very important for the psyche on the team.

I have faith in this team. I feel the team has a urgency about it this week and it will be a big bounce back game against a very good Carolina team.

I would have thought you wanted the “dub”

  3. Interestingly enough, our D gave up 24 pts to the same chiefs team that your team played a week later and gave up 26 to. Don’t let that stop you though.

Rushing Campbell back in a desperate effort to fix their softer than soft D

Nice try, but this is another clear case of a clueless Barney spouting off without any knowledge of the situation.

Mike Pettine really liked the limited play of Ibraheim last season, and was looking forward to working with him again.
His eventual return has been in the works since training camp.

    No rush, no desperation.
Just adding another useful cog in an already 1st place machine that is the Green Bay Packers.

  5. Being in first place feels pretty good halfway through. I’m sure the Vikings thought they’d be running away with the division by now, and they might be……if their “vaunted” defense didn’t continually come up small in big games.
