Broncos giving Vikings the business

The Broncos must not have gotten the memo that their season was over.

At the moment, they’re thrashing the Vikings 17-0, with a combination of a solid running game, good defense, and a bit of fun.

Knowing they can’t put too much on backup quarterback Brandon Allen, the Broncos are mixing it up, running trick passing plays out of the Wildcat among the more traditional options.

Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman are pacing the offense at the moment, as they’ve stacked up 211 yards so far and controlled the clock.

Meanwhile, the Vikings are sputtering, with 38 whole yards and two first downs in their first four possessions.  Kirk Cousins is 7-of-8 for 31 yards, but when he did complete a big play, it went away. A 24-yard gain to Stefon Diggs was wiped out by a penalty.

  1. Maybe we aren’t as World-Class as we thought. We would lose to #1-32 afterall, especially against the Packers and the Bears, who are the class of this division.

  2. No, not giving the Vikings the business – the Broncos are simply taking care of business, they are professional athletes and doing their jobs. The Vikings, on the other hand, are not taking care of their business and not playing like professionals.

  3. This game is far from over. The Vikes are a talented team with quick strike capabilities.

A 3 score lead is not enough at half against this team, plus, Minnesota’s defense will not give up a TD in the 2nd half

  4. Can an NFL team be flat, at home? It’s almost like the Vikings are wiped out after last weeks win. When the Vikings are off, they are more off than the Bengals! Can’t just blame one guy either. Coaches to the ball boy mailed in the first half.

  5. After Cleveland lost to the Broncos, you would think teams would have learned not to overlook these Broncos.

This lies 100% on Zimmer. Most overrated coach in the league

You can take off your Viking jersey and buy a #12 green and yellow one.

  9. The reports of the Vikings demise were extremely premature…

Kirk Cousins leads the Vikings to a 27 – 23 come from behind win, instead of curling up in the fetal position like Rodgers did against the Chargers.

  10. For the record, I am a Packers fan and called it at half.

Go back and read my post. I’m not much into internet hair pulling but I don’t think connermccleod’s standing as a Viking fan can be callled into question.

As much as I wish the Vikes had coughed up a hairball, there was NO way it was going to happen against the Broncos…at home.

The Vikings are a good team. I’ll leave the crap talk to The Usuals.

Spot on, you are the kind of Packers fan I think of when the Packers are doing good and my folks will root for post season if the Vikings are eliminated.
