Mohamed Sanu could miss “a couple of weeks”

The Patriots’ problems keeping qualified and healthy receivers around Tom Brady has been a season-long theme, and appears to be continuing for some time.

According to Tom Curran of NBCSportsBoston.com, wideout Mohamed Sanu could be out “for a couple of weeks” unless the ankle injury that kept him out of practice has a drastic improvement.

Sanu and Phillip Dorsett were out of practice yesterday, as Dorsett remains in the concussion protocol.

Sanu was able to finish last week’s game, but he had just two catches for 4 yards.

He’s been a good fit for the Patriots since arriving in a trade with the Falcons, and if he’s forced to miss time, they’ll have to rely more heavily on just-activated rookie N'Keal Harry.

  1. Conspiracy theory of the day: This faux injury is a clever ploy conceived by Tom Brady — with Mohamed Sanu playing along (or else!) — in order to scare Bob Kraft into panicking and re-signing Antonio Brown.

  2. In other news: Tom Brady could miss the game this week, if he gets hurt in practice or decides to retire. He could also play this week if those things do not happen.

    Check back for updates.

  3. Enough with the charades. They need to bring back Antonio Brown. We all know it’s happening. Brady never wanted him gone in the first place. Kraft needs to put aside the pride and get onboard with winning a seventh championship.

  4. Good. It will make Tom use Harry and Meyers more, along with Dorsett, instead of staring down Edelman and Sanu all game long as known vets.

Watch it work well, simply because Brady will finally be forced to simply throw one of them the ball.

    LMAO

    Unreal.

Not really. Brad just refuses to throw the ball to non-Binkies.

  6. Patriots use White and Burkehead at WR most of the game. Wynn is in at LT for this game to give Brady more time.

Everythign is fine, the sky still isn’t falling 12 years after the 18-1 season.

Patriots win 20-10 over the Cowboys.

Continuing to cater to Brady’s every whim through the years, as Brady fires numerous WRs that other All Pro QBs have no issue working with, is not really the answer.

The chose a WR in Rd 1 for the first time ever because whiney fans claimed Hogan “could not get separation” from the X which was partially true, but not all the way true.

    So, here comes Harry.

Stidham lit up preseason by throwing a ton to Meyers, no problem. Sure, it’s preseason, but he looked to him, he threw it and Meyers caught it. You know, football.

    LMAO

I fully understand NE’s playbook is 3 phonebooks-thick, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

Draw up 15 plays each that they like and make them the 1st read on those plays, so when they’re called, there is confidence. Enough already. For the love of god.

Um-did you see Meyers run a wrong route last week?

It may not be as easy as you Brady haters make it out to be.

Another idiot take. Maybe actually watch a game instead of being a fake fan who makes things up about Brady.

Eagles game- Brady threw to Edelman, White, Sanu, Meyers, Harry, Michel, Dorsett, Watson and Lacosse and Burkehead. Anything else you want to make up?

Last two games Brady has thrown to more different players than anytime in his career. That’s never a good sign for an offense.
