The Seahawks have made it official, putting tight end Ed Dickson right back on injured reserve the same week he was activated from it.

The team announced that Dickson was back on IR two days after he was put back on the roster, with a knee injury ending his season.

The team promoted tight end Tyrone Swoopes from the practice squad, to cover the same problem they thought Dickson was fixing. With Luke Willson‘s status up in the air and Will Dissly on IR, they’re running thin there, with Jacob Hollister the only other healthy tight end on the roster.

Swoopes has had short stints on the active roster each of the last two years.

Dickson practiced Wednesday, but was held out of Thursday’s work. He had knee surgery in August.

  1. Weather forecast for Sunday afternoon in Philly…….rain. Wilson is one of the worst QBs in rain. I officially check this game off as a loss for Seattle if it’s wet.

  2. Wilson is one of the worst in rain?? Lol. I’ve read some funny comments on this site but that might take the cake. You realize Seattle is an open air stadium and about half the games he’s played here have been in the rain right? By your logic, he’d have a terrible record to this date, but right now, he’s one of the winningest QBs in NFL history. Lol.

  3. I think I’d seriously take a look at waiving Ed Dickson this coming off season. It would save more than 3M in cap space. It would really depend on the injury, but he really hasn’t played enough to merit taking up the cap space & slot.

they are not running thin. They are running on empty.

I’ll trust your expertise. Base on the content of your relentless drivel, I’d say you’re acutely experienced with running on empty. Shine a light in the right ear, the left ear amplifies the intensity.
