Bills blow out Cowboys 26-15 as Jason Garrett’s hot seat grows hotter

What is next for the Dallas Cowboys? Does Jerry Jones fire Jason Garrett on Friday?

Only five days after Jones criticized the coaching in the aftermath of a 13-9 loss to the Patriots, the Cowboys were blown out by the Bills 26-15. At home. On a short week when Buffalo had to travel.

Dak Prescott had two turnovers; Brett Maher missed two field goals; and Bills receiver Cole Beasley had more than 100 yards receiving for the first time with his new team . . . against his old team.

The Cowboys marched right down the field on their first drive, scoring on an 8-yard pass from Prescott to Jason Witten. And . . . that was the highlight of the day for Dallas.

The rest of the day belonged to Buffalo, with Bills Mafia taking over AT&T Stadium.

The Cowboys got a touchdown with 4:01 remaining to make the score look more presentable. It won’t look that way to Jones guaranteed. Make no mistake, the Bills dominated the Cowboys.

Beasley caught six passes for 110 yards and a touchdown, his most receiving yards since 2015 when he had 112 receiving yards with the Cowboys against the Jaguars.

Bills defensive tackle Star Lotulelei has an interception of Prescott and deflected a Brett Maher field goal at the end of the first half, and rookie defensive tackle Ed Oliver had two sacks, including a strip sack of Prescott.

Josh Allen went 19-of-24 for 231 yards and the touchdown to Beasley. He also had eight carries for 43 yards and a touchdown.

Running back Devin Singletary scored on a 28-yard reception from receiver John Brown as the Bills pulled out all the stops in improving to 9-3 on the season. It was Buffalo’s third consecutive victory.

The Cowboys, who went 1-3 against the AFC East, fell to 6-6. They lead the Eagles by half a game in the NFC East. Philadelphia plays Miami on Sunday.

The Cowboys still control their own destiny, having beaten the Eagles once already this season, but they do not look like a playoff team. They now are 0-5 against teams with winning records.

  1. Seriously the cowboys have underperformed and have been irrelevant for a while. Big time pretenders who if they do make the playoffs will be embarrassed like they just were against the bills. I hate the bills but josh Allen played a hell of a game and darnold vrs allen will be fun to watch for years to come

  2. I’ve never seen a team makes so many mistakes, and in all 3 facets of the game too.

Even the coaching and play calling was brutal. The Bills can’t stop the run and the Cowboys have the big running game, and they hardly ran the ball.

So many mistakes that they almost the Bills look like a good team, brutal.

  3. Don’t worry Dallas fans just wait till next year you’ll be great….Yea just wait till next year when Zeke is there for the full season you’ll be great….Yea just wait till next year….Just wait till next year now that Dak has had another season under his belt you’ll be great….Yea just wait till next year…Hey Dallas fans we’ve been waiting since 1996, but just wait till next year

  4. Cowboys stink. Special teams are horrible, defense cant stop the run or cover, their offense is decent but comit a lot of penalties that kills drives. Zeke not having the year everyone expected and offense line is overrated. Same d Cowboys.

  5. Love it! Really impressed with Josh Allen, kid can play, has balls & his team seems to love him. I’ll make a bold prediction now, the AFC east will go through buffalo starting next season. They’re a receiver away from being scary

  6. I’m not a Bills fan but it was wonderful watching the Bills throttle “America’s Team.”

  7. The Boys need some serious changes starting at the TOP!

Meddling owners should be the first to go!

  8. You have to wonder how much worse it would’ve been if the refs hadn’t tried to keep the Cowboys in it.

A phantom hands to the face call on a Dak Prescott interception deep in Dallas territory saved Dallas early in the game from having an even bigger hole to try to overcome.

  9. It’s time. Garrett should be gone. Prescott has played his way out of millions or should have done so. Zero wins against teams with a winning record and looked lost today.

  10. I have been a lifelong Cowboys fan
I am 53 years old. I seen the Cowboys go 19 out of 20 years to the playoffs before the wild card. I seen Jimmy Johnson build a team that won 3 Superbowls. Since then all I seen is a owner who is trying to build a team the same way and it’s past him by. You have a loser qb a loser coach and a high priced defense who can’t get to the qb against any line. As usual once a Cowboy gets paid he quits. It’s time for a change from top to bottom. Including the coach qb and offense. I want America’s team back. I’m tired of this

  11. Man was I wrong about this one. Dallas is definitely not going anywhere this year. Bills defense made Prescott panic all game. Bills run game is impressive and Beasley wanted to stick it to his former team and did all game. Bills are no joke have said so all year long and now there’s proof live and living color. They will most likely be the champs when Brady and Belichick are gone hell maybe after Brady is done.

  12. Cowboy fans must be hiding under the rock they’ve been under for the last 22 seasons. Another season they can’t and won’t do anything significant. Here’s to coach claps and the inept owner.

  13. Put a fork in Garrett, have Richard run the team for the balance of the season. Garrett will get a job next season somewhere.
The team does not respond well to dead man walking and that is not good. Only way to turn it around and atleast make playoffs is smoke Garrett

  14. Do I just have to come out and say it ?!!!!! I think Stephen Jones has better football smarts than his old man, but until the day comes that Jerry goes to his heavenly reward, there is NO hope for Cowboy fans. Things will NEVER change, no matter WHO the coach is.

  15. It’s the OC that Jones wanted. They pay Elliott a lot of money then ignore him at a certain point in the game and expect Prescott to carry them. What?

  16. Dak is a bottom tier qb. Release him and sign Bridgewater, foles or keenum for alot less money, and they are better qbs.

  17. Hey Dak you should have taken that offer Dallas had on the table 3 months ago. Where are all of those know it alls who said Dallas was making a mistake by not giving Dak what he wanted? How do you justify paying a guy who can’t win a game against teams with winning records Dak is horrible

  18. The Cowboys were outplayed, out coached and out classed. The last one is not hard to do when Jerrah is the face of the franchise.

  19. Dak is doing his best Kirk Cousins/Matthew Stafford impression, just can’t get it done against teams with a winning record

You can toss Carson Wentz into that group

  21. Cowboys a .500 team under Garrett. Who’s surprised. They’ve need a new voice in the locker room for a long time. Jones wasted talent on Garrett’s mediocre coaching for way to long. 7 coaches who came in within Garrets’s tenure have reached the SB some with less talent and with significant playerS out for most of their season. At a minimum this guy should have been fired last year. This is exactly what he has delivered in nine years, some point out a few winning seasons, but bottom line he has not won absolutely anything. WASTED A LOT OF SEASONS.

Pretty sure he beat Green Bay and the Bills this year

  23. Whatever my Patriots are or..aren’t, they are not the Dallas Cowboys. whose fans would happily trade places with the Patriots. AFC East still open.

The legendary bills!!! Maybe now they will get a bit of respect
    ______________________________

Sorry but nope, it ain’t happening yet, respect is earned here in the NFL and that takes winning a Playoff game, sorry but its true and there’s a half a dozen teams that’ll tell you that starting with Cincy, Detroit, Titans or the Ravens last year. Mark my words if you go 1 and done in the Playoffs the Bills will still get no respect I don’t care if they go 13-3!

Hell just look at the Cowboys, they won the division 3 of the last 5yrs and finished 10-6 or better every time they won the division, but because they just can’t win a Playoff game they get no respect either, its nothing personal its just the way it is in the NFL, get used to it!

  25. Especially if you go out in the Wild-card round, not only won’t you get any respect but you’ll be labeled a pretender!

    Not a chance

  28. The Bills played great. They are getting better and are suddenly in right in the race for the AFC East.

Dallas on the other hand played horribly. They had no understanding of how to play the Bills. They didn’t respect the Bills defense properly and paid the price.

Up 7-0 Dallas needed to continue to run the ball. They started slinging it instead and threw the game away in the process. Zeke and a good OL and they wouldn’t commit to the run.

The crazy thing was Dak would throw it deep on early downs and then throw it short of the sticks on must have downs. Made absolutely no sense. Terrible play calling.

If Dallas had run it most of the time on 1st and 2nd down and tried to win that game 13-10 or something like that they would have had a shot.

  29. As a Bills fan, you have to love the way Allen is coming along…the whole stadium knows that he’s going to run and score a touchdown…and he goes out and does it…Singletary has a bright future also…Bills are not ready to be a contender just yet..but not far from it ..

11 point loss, hardly a blowout.

Did you watch the game? 2nd touchdown for Dallas was garbage time against prevent defense being played, and Bills kicker missed field goal and extra point. Was not as close as final score suggest.

  31. the kids getting better everyday…if you haven’t watched the Bills and you just repeat everyone’s hot take on Allen saying hes inaccurate and isn’t NFL quality, you look ignorant. Is he elite, nah, is he amazing, nah..is he young, going on his 18th or whatever game as a pro and making great strides doing all the things people said he couldn’t do? Yeah sure is. We still don’t have a complete team…we still have 80 mio in cap room next year. the Bills are well coached, with a legit top tier defense and playmakers on offense..add a few more and they are scary(WR, RB and another corner next year)…. everyone calling for 3-13 etc looks foolish…tough games ahead, let see how we play against Balt, NE to close out the season BUT beat Baltimore next week and what are the haters gonna say then. Some people don’t know football, especially those fake, multiple ID guys from north of the border, who flatteringly enough took time out of his day to comment on Thanksgiving about the Bills….Joe we’re thankful for you…no matter how my days going, I at least know its gotta be better than yours.
