Former NFL player Terrelle Pryor is in critical condition after he was stabbed overnight.

The 30-year-old Pryor was stabbed at a Pittsburgh apartment complex, according to WTAE. A woman whose identity has not been released is in custody in connection with the stabbing.

A star high schooler in both football and basketball in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, Pryor hailed as one of America’s best young athletes. He went to Ohio State and quarterbacked the team to two Big Ten championships.

In the NFL he started off as a quarterback and saw some success, but decided to change positions and played very well at wide receiver in 2016, catching 77 passes for 1,007 yards for the Browns. He was never able to replicate that success, however, and is not currently on an NFL roster.

  1. Wouldn’t wish this on anyone. I hope he recovers.

No matter who he played for or if you liked him or whatever. He’s a human being, like all of us. Have some compassion.

Pryor kinda seemed to be a POS seeing that his teammates never even liked him.

Maybe not the time for this.

  3. This is tragic news. He was Al Davis’ final draft pick in Oakland. I wish him the best and a full recovery.

  4. Unbiasedminds makes a very biased statement. Go figure, what a joke. Like almost everyone else, i hope this guy is is okay & is back to 100% health quickly.

  5. Sad news on the eve of “The Game!” Hated the guy when he was at Ohio State because he was so good, but no one deserves to be stabbed. Hope he fully recovers. Go Blue today. Not optimistic.

  6. They might not have finished the mission, but Pryor and Josh Gordon definitely played a key roles in the beginning of the Browns making it back to relevance.

Obviously wishing for a speedy and full recovery.

  7. I don’t understand. Why do people thumbs down a get well wish? Are they that unhappy with their life that they want to spread their sadness to everyone?

  8. Quick tip folks…..if you Thumbs Down for a simple post offering prayers and well wishes for a speedy recovery to a fellow human being….you’re a complete loser.

    That is all.

  9. “In the NFL he started off as a quarterback and saw some success, but decided to change positions”

I don’t remember it going like this at all, the way I remember it he insisted on being a QB and had no success to speak of and when nobody else would look at him as a QB, he finally decided to play WR.

Anyway, let’s hope he’s going to make it , things like this make football seem trivial.

They are either kids that don’t know any better or if they are adults there must be a real sadness in their life or they are acting like kids and should be ashamed

    Wrong, on both counts.
The people that thumbs-down positive and compassionate comments are trolls whose sole intent is to get under people’s skin and goad them into responding in indignation.
    Mission accomplished.

  12. Ya Know! I hate this one side reporting. Why dont we get all the facts before we go feeling one way or another. So would ya feel the same if this man (PRYOR) who towers over this woman was rugularly beating and abusing her and she was protecting herself??? let’s stop being lopsided and get ALL the facts before giving Pryor accolades because of his football career. OJ Simpson had a football career too but that didn’t make him immune to criminal behavior.
