Bills-Steelers moves to Sunday Night Football in Week 15

The Bills will get some more prime-time exposure in Week 15.

After introducing itself to much of America with a convincing victory over the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day, the Bills get another opportunity to make a national statement against the Steelers on Dec. 15.

The NFL announced Sunday night that the Bills at Steelers game is being flexed to Sunday Night Football on NBC.

The game originally scheduled for that slot — the Vikings at the Chargers — will to move to 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS. That’s good news for Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, whose struggles in prime-time are well documented.

  1. I’m looking forward to this matchup. Two great defences. I think it comes down to who makes the first mistake on offence.

  2. That was before Cousins had a better team & organization. This is a different situation, maybe the author doesn’t pay attention to games in detail, Cousins is the NUMBER 1 rated QB presently!

  3. There’s a special group of rust belt teams that know tough times and bad weather – in no particular order –

    Detroit
    Chicago
    Cleveland
    Buffalo
    Pittsburgh

What a special division that would make…

  4. They’ll still show a shot of Niagara Falls and a plate of wings. If it snows, people will assume the game is in Buffalo.

  5. Well it’s better than the Vikings – Chargers but yawn, that’s a low bar.

But I wonder, will Trippy wear his shades for a night game?

  6. Hey Steelers’ fans staying up late to watch the Texans win. There goes your 6th seed! Hahahahahahaha!

  7. Huh ?? The Steelers still have the wild card spot. The Texans are leading their division so the team that the Steelers are competing against from that division is Tennessee and their remaining schedule is pretty tough as well (twice against Texans and once against Saints)……

  8. That’s better for me I have tickets for the game. Coming from the San Diego area I can now be home at a decent hour after watching the Vikes get the win! Skol Vikes!!

  9. Not a shock to see the Vikings and Chargers moved out of prime-time. These 2 franchises are not big draws for the networks.

No one outside of Minnesota has ever said: “I can’t wait to watch the Vikings tonight”

This isn’t a knock on Minnesota, it is just a fact that the masses do not care about any sports team in Minnesota.

NBC, FOX, CBS and all the networks really only care about money. Don’t take it personally that your fav team does not have a seat at the big boys table.

Steelers = Ratings. Smart call NBC.

So you’re saying the Steelers are Americas team…..?….Seriously?

  11. Hey STEELER haters, at least be happy for the Bills. Please, we don’t need another Patriot prime time game!

  12. Anything but Patriots and Chargers. Brady and Rivers are painful to watch. With Mahomes, Watson, Jackson, Wilson and Allen, why would anyone want to watch those geriatrics.

  13. Even when Allen is a bit off he will always make a handful of wow plays that usually go unnoticed

  14. Vikings/Cowboys was the highest rated SNF in several years.

Yeah! Because last time Brady took on Mahomes, it just wasn’t good football right? SMDH

Seen enough of Brady, especially the 2019 version. This will be close to a playoff game and it might just be that due to the Bills-Cowboys having historically high ratings for the Thanksgiving game and maybe people would rather watch The Bills than the Patriots and maybe networks wanna attract more viewers because maybe they like $$$? Just a thought….

Kirk is FIRE in Primetime this year. 2-0 and will be 3-0 after he lights up Seattle this evening.

Not sure what gopher hole you reside in, but far beyond Minnesota here, and there’s a plethora of Viking fans filling sports bars around here. While this team still needs to win a SB they, in their short franchise history have produced far greater teams than most of the rest of the NFC/AFC. I get your dig though. It’s what we do here. Except in this case you are totally wrong.

Actually….NFL Films originally wanted to call the Steelers America’s Team but Art Rooney Sr. declined saying that the Steelers are “…Pittsburgh’s Team”.

Ah okay, I get it. Buffalo’s Super Bowl. Good for them.

Not your year Vikings fan and besides most people would rather watch the Bills than the Vikings….just Google it….

  20. Josh Allen is just one of quite a few young talented qbs. And the best part is nobody thought he’d amount to anything. Same with Jackson. Maybe there’s no Brady -manning but I’m sure there’s a kelly-Marino somewhere. The leagues gonna be in good hands.

  21. Actually the Vikings requested that the NFL move that game from Sunday night to Sunday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. It’s tough for a visiting team to have to play a West Coast game at night and then not get back home until early the next morning. That would have been two West Coast night games in three weeks for the Vikes.
Despite being flexed out, the Vikings will still play four night games this season. They’ve already played Thursday and Sunday night games (and won them both…so much for the ‘Kirk Cousins can’t win in prime time’ theory) and play tonight in Seattle and host Green Bay three weeks from tonight.

They didn’t move the game because the Vikings requested it.
    *****
No, they moved it because the Chargers suck. But the Vikings told the NFL they had no problem with them moving the game up and actually preferred it.

  23. I didn’t even know the Bills were still in the NFL. Some google thingy said they were in the Canadian Football League. Huh.

Funny last time they played the Vikings they dominated them in their own building, but hey yeah we’re in the CFL.
