Ezekiel Elliott: Cowboys are angry about where we are

The Cowboys lost last Thursday, but they still have reason to feel thankful for their place in the NFL world.

A 6-6 record would make them an also-ran in the NFC in any division other than the NFC East, but sharing space with Philadelphia, Washington and the Giants has its benefits. The Cowboys remain in first place despite two straight losses and 12 games of frustration.

Thankful wasn’t the emotion of the day in Dallas on Sunday, however. Running back Ezekiel Elliott said practice was chippy because the team is unhappy about where they stand with four weeks to go in the regular season.

“Yeah, angry. Angry we’re not where we expected ourselves to be,” Elliott said, via Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “Just angry that things haven’t been going the way we want them to go. We’ve got to channel that the right way. Come in like we did today, go to work and trust the process, go out there and play better football.”

The Cowboys will get a chance to take their anger to the field against the Bears on Thursday in a matchup of teams that haven’t seen 2019 turn out the way they hoped.

  1. Angry? Try being a cowboys fan for the last 23 years…… he needs to stop talking and start playing.

  2. Vegas had the Cowboys as an 8.5 win team this year…and those guys know a thing or two about predictions. Looks like they are exactly who they are supposed to be. A mediocre Team with nice pieces at key positions, questionable depth, inferior coaching and playing a first place schedule. 8-8, 9-7 sounds about right and it still might win the division. Just because ESPN says you are a SB contender in the preseason doesn’t make it so.

  3. Cooper’s leg injuries are hurting them. Teams gear up to stop the run. That’s why Zeke is putting up 400 bills a game. But it’s between the 20’s. In the red zone the boys are being held. I hope the Vikings aren’t the 6th seed & have to go to Dallas because the Cowboys could easily win. All of the NFC teams 1-6 have the ability to reach & win the Super Bowl.

    PLEASE BE THE VIKINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. I mean Dak 400 bills a game. Zeke is starting to go through the RB decline. Starts about years 5-10, then it’s over

  5. Cowboys are going nowhere fast. Let’s say they do win the division, they’ll be immediately smashed by whatever wildcard team they play. Cowboys beat sorry teams and lose to good teams. That’s their M.O. They are America’s joke. Every year.

What’s new? The Cowboys have been the most Over hyped mediocre football team in
Pro Football and you can thank Jerry for that. He is and will always be the common
    factor.

  7. Just keep doing that childish ‘feed me’ routine. That way teams have something to mock when they beat you.

  8. Just all the fat cats counting their money , have any of the newly signed contract players played worth a flip ? Dak is next so bye bye Oline

Its going to be awfully funny when the Bears whip Dallas!!!!
    ***********************************
Seriously, the Bears can’t “whip” anybody.

  10. The NFC East is pathetic. I don’t want to hear about the AFC East being terrible. The NFC East can’t even compete vs the bottom of the AFC East. Dallas can’t beat the Jets. The Eagles (or Washington) can’t beat Miami.

Calling the Cowboys the most mediocre teaming the NFL is so old . come up with something new. Lol

How about this for something new, like winning in the playoffs and being Super Bowl relevant.
That has not happen over the last 23 years and counting.

Kind of like the Raiders, who seem to have a commitment to GETTING whipped.
Oakland just lost back-to-back games to the Chiefs and Jets by a combined score of 74-12 — the same Jets who lost to the previously winless Bengals — yet here you are trolling other teams per usual.
But hey, I guess six wins makes the Raiders bowl eligible, so you have that going for you. Which is nice.

Well Zeke is on season 4, so he’s still a year off from “starting to go through the RB decline” even by your math…

  14. I guarantee we have another one before it takes 50 yrs
    _______________

I think you may be right cause Jerry won’t live for another 27 years.

Sorry guy but that ain’t happening. The cowboys are definite trash but the Bears are a dumpster fire.
