Antonio Brown still waits for the NFL’s decision

Nearly three weeks ago, free-agent receiver Antonio Brown met with NFL investigators regarding civil allegations of sexual assault that were made against him in September. With four weeks left in the regular season and Brown’s de facto suspension at 11 weeks and counting, Brown seems to be getting frustrated by the lack of action. Again.

They don’t want me to be great!” Brown tweeted on Tuesday morning, without attaching a name to the pronoun. “They want my name slandered! They want to finish us! They control the narrative! Never trust they!”

“They” could be various entities. The NFL. The media. Those who make accusations against others.

Whatever the case may be, Brown wants to play football again, but no one will touch him until the NFL resolves its investigation. Nine days ago, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported that a decision remains a few weeks away, because the information that Brown provided to the league sparked follow-up investigative steps.

Whether the delay is legitimate or the byproduct of the league trying to run out the clock on its 100th season without letting Brown back in, there’s not much time for Brown to make a difference for anyone in 2019. The question then becomes whether Brown will serve an official suspension to start the 2020 season.

  1. He’d still be a Patriot if he didn’t have the self control of a 3 year old and hadn’t gone after the 2nd accuser and her kids on social media.

  2. Much like with Garrett, the guy that gets paid 40 million dollars a year to make decisions, fails to make a decision. I don’t care what the decision is but make one. That’s why your the commissioner. Do your job.

  3. I really don’t understand why Belicheat cut this guy. He has everything he looks for in a player.

  4. Could the Pats use him? Heck yeah! But he made his bed and has proven time and time again that not only will he not change, bit he still does not get it. Pats take your 1 playoff win (maybe) and try to actually get an Offence in the offseason

  5. Antonio Brown just doesn’t get it. His whole situation is his own doing. With just a little self control he would be playing ball. He is his own worst enemy.

  6. Bill Belichick will re-sign AB and the Pats offense will once again be clicking and they will win another SB…. We know how this story end……..ya when you wake up from your dream. Kids have great dreams don’t they?

Aren’t the Pats the team that said they would NEVER sign AB and then said if anyone could tame AB it was BB……just checking. priceless

  7. Meanwhile, fans of the NFL wait for him to get a clue.

“They”? Maybe he’s referring to his limited amount of brain cells.

Pretty sure AB thinks a pronoun is something he never heard of that became a pro. Have you read his tweets?

I don’t know because “the Pats” are not a person but rather an entire organization and in their case they really never say much about anything. They just do things….an around 50% of the time those things take them to a SB

  10. The Patriots and Belichick would bring Antonio back but I would suspect that this is one of those decisions owner Robert Kraft will not let Coach Bill Belichick make. My guess is Roger Goodell does not want to be politically incorrect on this decision. So Antonio Brown will be treated without respect and possibly illegally because of his bad behavior. If Brown had not gone crazy with the 2nd accuser he would be playing NFL football. Treating Brown this was is wrong for many reasons. Brown is in a predicament that no one can help him with because he just wants to play and time is running out for this season. The Patriots are his main and possibly only hope!

  11. Priceless is seeing vasteelersfan cry about the Pats multiple times a day. Me thinks somebody has a problem,.

Do you and others of your ilk know how dumb you sound with the “Belicheat” nonsense? Every team, including your bottom of the division team looks for an edge. If you check some of the sites that monitor cheating you will find the Patriots are int he middle of the pack and one of the few ones that actually paid a price. Look at all of Denver’s salary cap cheating they did. Cut the nonsense and just hope someday your team gets competitive like the one in New England.

  13. Go to the XFL and wear the name “THEY HATE ME”. Or, more accurately, “nobody love me”. Cause we don’t…

Thanks for making me spit coffee all over my keyboard. Nice.
On a side note, while AB is waiting for the NFL to make a decision, the Raiders are still waiting for his feet to thaw — or is it his brain?

What a little weasel trying to slither out of what you know to be true with a little obfuscation…….weak Skippy…..very weak.

Own up to it it’s what a man would do ….a grown man.

  16. He overplayed his hand from the beginning.
Would not be surprised if Mr. Big Chest is now Mr. Empty Wallet.

  17. The last two teams he was a part of (Raiders & Patriots) should be the first two teams eliminated as possible landing spots. Why? Simple. AB is still has grievances against both teams for his 2019 salary. If he signed with either does that strengthen his case for his salary?

TimTebowGodOfFootballKarma is a Ravens fan. This is why you see him on here all the time now. The team he roots for is awesome this year so now he posts on Pats articles like its his job. This is all new to him.

  19. “Own up to it it’s what a man would do ….a grown man.”

Maybe somebody should take his advice and man up on how jealous you are of the Patriots. Oh that is right, you would have to be a man…

  20. Mr. Big Frozen Ottoman can’t understand why his outburst & tantrums haven’t helped him get wants! It’s always worked before!
