Khalil Mack says Bears “can’t wait to do the impossible”

The Bears are 6-6 after beating the Lions last Thursday, which leaves them outside of a playoff spot but still alive with four games left to play.

Losing to the Cowboys this Thursday or anyone else on their remaining schedule would all but close the door on those playoff chances. That’s a position that linebacker Khalil Mack believes the team will respond to well over the final month of the season.

“We love this. If you play this game and you love this game, you can’t wait to do the impossible, in a sense,” Mack said, via the Chicago Tribune. “You can’t wait to go out and prove yourself.”

With Green Bay, Kansas City and Minnesota on tap after Dallas, the Bears running the table might not be impossible but it certainly isn’t a likely outcome given the way the first 13 weeks of the season have played out.

  1. What he really means is going from winning the division and being considered a strong Super Bowl favorite to in just one year, being the worst team in the NFC.
    #Can’t wait for the impossible…….

  2. LOL … what’s going to change for this big turn around? The trade to bring Mack in doesn’t look so good now. Huge money tied up, no #1 choice again in the next draft, big time upgrades on offense and defense needed. Nothing is going to change from what has been seen/done this season.

Meaning Mitch Trubisky will play lights out the rest of the season?
Thats the only way the Bears are going anywhere.
The odds of that happening are between slim and none, and slim is out of town.

  4. That’s a tough schedule — except for Minnesota whom the Bears find a way to regularly defeat.

  5. It would be nice if Mr. Mack would lead by example and give 100% effort on every snap, but he doesn’t, double teamed or not. Glad the game is in Chicago where kick off temp should be about 40 degrees tomorrow night. The Cowgirls don’t like chilly weather. Bear Down!

  6. Is the idiot still calling plays ? How about we take the plastic off our brand new running back and use him ?

Any raiders fan would have been glad to tell you Mr. Mack not only takes plays off but games off as well as you are seeing this year. His numbers have come in bunches, meanwhile he disappears in other games. Only complete morons believed the Bears won this trade hahahaha!!

  8. Impossible is the word to describe the Bears getting the QB play they need to win all 4 games. Defense is just one part of the equation and the Bears are better than most on that side of the ball but they still need a QB.

Whether it’s Chicago or the Rams, something tells me the Vikings will choke away their wildcard spot.
    ——-
As a life long Vikings fan, it’s not impossible.
However, I sense GB struggling to hold on to the division lead.

  11. Its hilarious to see so many comments from people who don’t even watch bear games. Because if you did you would know that when Hicks and Mack are on the field together the bears defense has proven to be almost unstoppable. Hicks has been out of the lineup for almost 7 games. But he’s back this week.

how do you define worst team in the NFC?
Falcons, Panthers, Bucs, Giants (lost to bears), Lions(lost to bears), Redskins(lost to bears), and Cards all have worse records, so… not sure how you got worst team in the NFC.

what? Raiders have the same record as the Bears right now in an absolute crap division.

Opposing offenses have figured out that without Hicks to affect the pocket up the middle, they can do whatever they want to scheme Mack out of making a massive impact. adding guards, centers, tight ends and running backs to chip or block mack on every passing play. in 46 drop backs against the lions, he only had 9 one-on-one opportunities. Statistically speaking, he has the near the league top of least amount of one-on-one opportunities. Add in offenses are using more quick passes, mack’s production has dropped, but he’s still an absolute terror against the pass and the run while ranking extremely high in DE production across the NFL.

Contracts are always difficult to juggle no matter the position, but the bears will figure it out just like other teams that have high contracts for one or more players.

    Moron, i am not.

  14. Hicks coming back (if he is really healthy) should be a boost for Mack. Mack does get a great deal of attention by the other team’s o-lines and it has shown with Hicks out.

  15. If Aikeem Hicks is back and effective, the Bears will be much better. Probably not good enough to make the playoffs, but better.

comparing the raiders record with any other team without mentioning the travel miles or the fact they went 7 weeks in between homes game says you’re a moron!

Weren’t the bears a “Super Bowl” contender going into the season? Weren’t the raiders predicted to win only 5-6 games? Didn’t the Raiders beat the bears?

I don’t want to hear about injuries, the Raiders lost their starting secondary for the most part, have had wr on and off the injury list all season. the full starting offensive line didn’t play together until week 10 and they probably have started the most rookies in the league. So do yourself a favor and get a clue, thanks

Bears will finish 6-10 and the raiders will get a top 10 pick, thank you!!

“Only complete morons believed the Bears won this trade hahahaha!!”

The only morons that keep talking about it are Raiders fans. You’re just too insecure about Mack not being on your team to admit it. I think Mack has helped the Bears tremendously, but they are missing some “possible” good draft picks that may or may not help the Raiders. I think it’s blatantly obvious that neither team won considering both teams are 6-6 and not having good seasons and chasing wild card fantasies…

  18. The Raiders DID NOT win anything except that fluke game in London vs the Bears. The Raiders reaction from that win was their Superbowl, lol! The Raiders just got their teeth kicked in by the Chiefs because they had no one to rush and control Mahomes….

Clearly the Raiders made a mistake by not paying Mack.
