Sean Lee may be leaving the Cowboys, but he may not be leaving the NFL.

The 33-year-old Lee, due to become an unrestricted free agent in March, hopes to play in 2020.

I’m focusing on playing as of now,” Lee told SI.com regarding whether he’d retire to go into coaching.

So where will he play?

“I’m still deciding,” Lee said. “I’m waiting to kind of explore what some of my options are.”

A nine-year veteran who arrived via round two of the 2010 draft, Lee appeared in all 16 games for the first time in his career in 2019.

  1. A very nice young man and I wish him the very best no matter where he plays. Met him last spring and without question he knows where he spend the last 9 years of his life and his years before that at Penn St..

  2. The guy could have been Hall of Fame good but for the injuries. It will be interesting to see if anyone other than Dallas will sign him.

  3. He was an elite player who like so many older players, knows he can get good money from some team taking a flyer on his remaining potential & leadership. The chances he ends up a starter and leads a team into the playoffs are small. He can be a quality backup & locker room leader, though. Good luck to him.

  4. shame injuries clouded his career, had he stayed healthy he would definitely been HOF considered, as smart as they come..that said he really had a good year filling in, if he comes back I really don’t see him any where but Dallas providing McCarthy is on board.

I wish him health wherever he plays though
