Packers extend Mason Crosby

Packers kicker Mason Crosby won’t be going anywhere.

Crosby and the Packers agreed to a three-year contract, Crosby’s agent Mike McCartney announced on Twitter.

The Packers drafted Crosby in 2007, and he has been in Green Bay ever since. Crosby had a strong season last year, missing just two field goals and one extra point, and the Packers apparently believe has more good years left in him.

Crosby will turn 36 before this season and would be with the Packers through his age-38 season if he fulfills this contract.

Among players on the current roster, only Aaron Rodgers, who was drafted in 2005, has been with the Packers longer than Crosby.

  1. He is the oldest looking 35 year old I have seen. I was thinking he was older with all that gray. But a decent kicker and he is willing to Live in gb do not a bad signing on their part.

  2. Look for Mason to be kicking FGs in the next 2 or 3 SBs.. The Pack domination continues for several more years.

  3. Will never forget his first NFL game. Kicked a game winning field goal against Philadelphia in Green Bay after the Eagles muffed a punt in the final 2 minutes.

Ahhh offseason Packer superbowls. hearing about them make my day.

Lol a Vikings fan talking about offseason Super Bowls. What delicious irony.

    Packers:
    35-23 (60%) in playoffs
    5-5 (50%) in NFCCG, last appearance: 2019
4-1 (80%) in Super Bowl, last appearance: 2010

    Vikings
    21-30 (41%)
    4-6 (40%) in NFCCG, last appearance: 2017
0-4 (0%) in Super Bowl, last appearance: 1976

That last one is worth repeating. Last appearance: nineteen-seventy-six. To put that in perspective, Jimmy Carter was freshly inaugurated.

  5. Correction, Gerald Ford was still President, Jimmy Carter wouldn’t be inaugurated for a couple more weeks.

Can we really call him a Viking fan though? We assume he is because it’s the land of troll but he only ever talks about the Packers.

  7. So many teams looking for a reliable kicker. Can you say Vikings my only issue with Mason is that his Kickoffs are too short which can hurt us in coverage might be time to see if or get a punter who can kick off.
