Where will Tom Brady sign? The Chargers think somewhere other than Los Angeles.

That’s the word from Jim Trotter of NFL Media, who reports that the Chargers made a serious run at Brady but the team believes Brady has decided to go elsewhere.

The report also says the Chargers think Brady thinks the East Coast is a better place for his family to live than the West Coast.

Brady announced today that he will be leaving New England after 20 years. The Buccaneers are believed to be the team making the most aggressive play for him, but no contract can be signed until Wednesday afternoon.

  1. Tampa, Miami, Carolina, Washington, Jacksonville (lol) are all possibilities. My gut says Tampa as they have the best weapons.

  2. Hmmmm, drafting Tua and then using Brady as the mentor in Miami is crazy. Not hoping for this but I have read this on 2 different rumor mills. Personally don’t want Brady in Miami and how can Miami want his exorbitant contract?

  3. Tampa is a team that with an upgrade at QB could make a lot of noise this season. When Brady looks at their D and the skill players on offense, he’s got to like it.

Miami is a long shot, but they’ve got enough cap space a draft ammo to put some real talent around Brady. I’d bet he and the Mrs. would prefer living in Miami.

    But I’ll say Tampa.

  4. Brady’s older son lives with his mother in NYC, so it could be true that Brady prefers to live on the east coast because of that.

  5. Look for the dark horse here. Dak is tagged so could easily be traded. Great weapons offensively, great defense, offensive minded coach. Stranger things have happened.

  6. I can’t believe he passed on Vegas. Think of all the endorsement deals he’s missing out on. I couldn’t picture him living in Florida either.

  7. Two thinks, there’s something “right” about being in Tampa. There’s nothing “left” in LA that attracts him.

Also, he doesn’t want to face Mahomes until the Super Bowl.

The Chargers are in his “thoughts and prayers”.
