On his way out the door in Detroit after being traded to the Eagles, Darius Slay says he "lost all respect" for Lions head coach Matt Patricia, but Mike Florio and Chris Simms see no issue with the motivational tactics.

The Lions brought back one of their own for some line depth.

The team announced that veteran free agent Oday Aboushi had agreed to a new deal.

He joined the Lions last year and started two games.

He’s also played for the Jets, Texans, Seahawks, and Cardinals.

The Lions’ big move up front was replacing Rick Wagner with free agent right tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai.
