Free agent offensive tackle Daryl Williams is heading to Buffalo.

Williams has agreed to a one-year deal with the Bills, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Williams has spent his entire five-year career with the Panthers. Last year he played in 16 games in Carolina, with 12 starts.

Bills General Manager Brandon Beane was the Panthers’ assistant G.M. when they drafted Williams in 2014, and Bills head coach Sean McDermott was the Panthers’ defensive coordinator for Williams’ first two seasons. So the Bills know what they’re getting, and they think they’re getting an important addition to their offensive line.

  1. One year contract doesn’t shout that they think they are getting ‘an important addition’ to their line.

  2. The only thing stopping the superbowl parade in buffalo is the coronavirus. Not that it matters much, this team is built to dominate for the next decade.

  3. 4th & 1 with Josh Allen…Have you seen the man perfrom QB sneak before?

Look at the Thanksgiving game at Dallas…At the 2:19 mark of the 2nd quarter. Josh takes a bad snap, the ball hits the ground, and about two seconds go by before you see Josh come out of the pile for a 5 yard game. This was just one of many examples. You can’t teach heart, or desire.

  4. Bills draft will be interesting considering all of the FA moves they have made. I am thinking RB or LB in 2nd round.

  5. It’s a strange adjustment getting used to the Bills being so well manageed.

Beane has done an outstanding job. The defense is completely set, including quality depth. On offense, they really just need another RB, and more depth on the O-line.

Been waiting for this day for a long, long time. Brady leaves, and the Bills finally have a very good team. Looking forward to the upcoming decade.

  6. Good luck on 4th and 1? Hasn’t been a problem for the Bills and doesn’t require OT help. QB is pretty good at it

  7. Panthers gave up a ton of sacks last year. This guy was a huge reason why, he gave up 12 sacks all by himself. Only one guy in the league gave up more.

    Hes trash.
