One of the NFL’s top remaining free agents is staying put.

Chiefs wide receiver Demarcus Robinson will sign a one-year deal to stay in Kansas City, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The 25-year-old Robinson has spent his entire career in Kansas City. Last year he had career highs in catches (32) and yards (449).

  1. You cannot imagine the number of disappointed Philly sportswriters there are right now. They were all looking to trash the Eagles for signing this guy.

  2. Not best by a long shot and im a life long Kansas city fan and resident . His greatest asset is stretching the field.

  3. With no off season and little practice before games…teams might call their guys who signed with others during free agency and ask them to back out and resign with them.

  4. Smart man. When Watkins gets hurt or Hill gets suspended, he’ll slide into a starting role and put up good numbers to make some money in fa next year.

  5. Dude tore the Raiders up in Oakland last year during a game that Hill was absent. KC has alot of fine receivers and no indication Watkins will return for a cut in pay next season. Chiefs had to keep this guy, he knows all routes from all positions.

Still unbelievable Hill was not suspended.

No, it is not. Hill was awarded full custody of his son earlier this year, which is why he was seen holding him on Fox after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.

It’s amazing how the world currently works. No one needs the whole story anymore. If you read the articles on this site, no wonder you think this way. But if you know the whole story, you would know his ex was making things up because she isn’t mentally well. I’m not saying dude is a model citizen, he didn’t do what she accused him of and he now has full custody of his son as mentioned above.

  9. It’s so cute to see the KC fans defending a known domestic abuser,( Hill) absolutely no class!!!!

    Who?
    Why?

The WR other teams forget about when they’re too worried about Tyreek, Sammy, Kelcie, and Hardman.

What’s funny is that Demarcus would be a #1 WR for teams like Philly, Detroit, Miami, SF and probably New England.

Sammy Watkins wouldn’t even be a number one on those teams much less this guy.

  12. So besides Hill a known domestic abuser, they have a player who threatened to throw bleach on his baby momma and child and a player who was kicked off a college football team for domestic abuse.
    All facts!!!

  13. good for the chefs. one year deal, still haven’t figured out if chiefs have what they need wr wise after hill and kelce (yes kelce is a wr). there were a few games where robinson looked great but not many of them. reminds me of conley. great physical traits, some evidence of being a good wr but with hill and kelce they should find someone who can step up. To be fair watkins looked awsome during the postseason. This is a one year deal. after that it’s either watkins or demarcus.

  14. This is the Albert Wilson effect, Albert got paid, but it has made other teams do a little more due diligence. It the combination of Mahomes, Kelce, Hill and an above average line that makes them look good. Miami gave Wilson a good contract based off 1/2 good games in KC. The bad thing is when a WR coming from a pass 1st team, with lots of weapons, while he might have had a good game or 2, but these guys don’t often translate to what other teams are expecting.

These guys are are great 3rd/4th WR’s, but they don’t turn into 1’s or 2’s just because they were surrounded by great talent.

That said, Philly could’ve used him but my bet is he’s still be a # 3/4 guy, not a #2 that they need.

  15. Dude is comically overrated. He had a HUGE window to step up between all the games Hill & Watkins missed. Robinson did absolutely nothing. He blew up 1 game? And he is KC’s #3-#4 WR who basically became a #2-#3 WR due to injury & still could not produce on that offense. THAT. OFFENSE. Robinson looks great on paper. Robby Anderson, Devin Funchess, Eric Ebron….probably all better offensive weapons than Robinson.

  16. I am laughing about all the trash talk about this guy. Guy has a freshly minted ring and gets another go with Mahomes et al. He’s doing alright for himself
