The Steelers haven’t been working in their own facility.

But they’re not immune to communicable diseases.

According to Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said two players had tested positive for COVID-19.

Those players were not at the team facility recently.

The NFLPA has recently advised players not to gather for workouts on their own. With teams just over a month away from training camp, the reality is that positive tests will happen everywhere, and teams will have to focus on mitigating and managing those cases.

  1. There needs to be openness about positive tests. Players do not need to be in the vicinity of the grounds to test positive. They could be ANYWHERE. Simply saying 2, 10 or 30 people have tested positive is not good enough. For the safety of all, this needs to be more open.

Sorry but it is called HIPPA. If a player wants to disclose that is fine but otherwise they can keep silent on this..

Season is not happening. Just image this in the fall with flu season

  3. How is this ever going to work? You can’t contain this anyway, but NFL players are the last group you’d rely on to be smart and follow protocols to avoid contamination.

    See you in 2022, MAYBE.

Is it true that you can test posititve for the virus but not have symptoms?
    ___________

Yes, this has been well documented. In fact, most people who have the virus never even know they had it. That’s why social distancing is important even if you feel fine, but also why we should not be nearly as afraid of this virus as we’re being told we should be.
