Antonio Brown working out with Russell Wilson

A report in May out of Seattle indicated Russell Wilson wants the Seahawks to sign Antonio Brown.

Now, it appears the two are working out together, which should only intensify the Brown-to-Seattle talk.

The receiver posted videos on his Instagram story Wednesday, and Ben Arthur of the Seattle Post Intelligencer made the connection. Brown is running routes on Wilson’s field, with Wilson’s logo visible at midfield.

It is unclear whether Wilson is throwing the passes since the video provides only a quick, faraway glimpse at the quarterback as he takes his drop.

(Brown updated with a video that clearly shows it indeed is Wilson he was working out with. Brown added, “Who would like to see this on Sundays?”)

A recent report indicated the Seahawks have had internal discussions about Brown.

But Brown faces league discipline after pleading no contest to burglary and battery in connection with an altercation with a moving truck driver. The league continues to investigate two other incidents involving Brown for potential further discipline.

Brown has not played since Sept. 15, the only game he played for the Patriots and the only game he played last season.

The Seahawks’ receiving corps includes DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Philip Dorsett.

  1. antonio browns mind is so riddled with damage he is a shell of a man but with strength far beyond even a strong one, we need to be worried for russel wilsons safety if he is having secret workouts with AB

  2. Are the Seahawks the new Bengals of old? bringing in two new guys that potentially won’t play because of legal issues in Quinton Dunbar and Antonio Brown?

  3. Knowing Pete and John Schneider they will try to get him relatively cheap and see what happens.

What are the chances that Antonio Brown is on Russell Wilson’s field and it’s not Russell Wilson throwing the ball? You know it is RW…

  4. Sign the man. Adding AB would make the Seahawks WR corps the best in the NFL. And if anyone can keep AB in line, it’s Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll.

  5. Great! Pull the pin Seattle. The rest of us are eager to watch it blow up.
    _______

Maybe not exactly the same thing but many said that about about the Marshawn Lynch signing.

I think the culture in Seattle would be good for AB…but it would be up to him to embrace it.

  6. Still no repercussions regarding Brown using racial slurs at team employees. Nice privilege on display.

  7. Hasn’t that city suffered enough? Bringing AB into Seattle will make the Chop Zone look like Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood.

  8. Russell is all about headlines to keep himself and washed up R&B singer wife in the spotlight. Always going to Oscar parties, Emmys, Golden Globes, MTV awards, etc. He’s of the belief that any publicity is good publicity.

  9. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. The man has mental health issues. It’s not funny. It’s sad.

  10. That would mean that Mr. Universe will be sitting on the bench in all likelihood.

  11. He is the PERFECT wr for Wilson’s scrambling style. Now mix that AB Defense-cover nightmare with Locketts speed & Metcalfs size..

    …that could be scary

  12. hopefully the future can come save russ if someone explains to him that his son is also in danger if AB is allowed anywhere around them

  13. Why??? First, AB must resolve the multiple issues he has with the justice system then the NFL can decide how long they will suspend him. Then, teams can decide, if they can work it out. AB should not worry about practicing but resolve the legal issues.

  14. Yeah, that will work. It won’t even take a game before AB would start complaining about Russell running the ball all the time.

As far as Pete and Russell being able to control him even when nobody else could, they said the same thing about Belichick and Brady. Yeah, that worked out.

This is just a desperate attempt to recreate their one-year dynasty.

  15. Percy Harvin redux.
Wilson is a far better QB than a rehab psychologist.
Clowney is needed more than Brown.
Josh Gordon would be a more reliable choice than Brown.
I hope Wilson is not seeing stars.

  16. Still no repercussions regarding Brown using racial slurs at team employees
    ——
You’re forgetting that racial slurs only work one way now.

  17. AB is like pizza right of the oven. Everyone want to have a slice right away and they all burn the roof of their mouth and regret it.

  18. As far as Pete and Russell being able to control him even when nobody else could, they said the same thing about Belichick and Brady. Yeah, that worked out.

To be clear I would prefer the Seahawks not bother with such a headache but to try and suggest that Pete Carroll and Bill Belichick and the way they treat their players are anything alike is…well…wrong.

It’s like Bill Belichick takes the names off the back of the jersey completely while Pete Carroll lets them all add a little nickname in there in quotations.

Both demand excellence on the field and team-first so I am not sure why Pete is messing around with AB but I am not about to question it…the Hawks are solid mentally. AB won’t poison that.

People talk crap about Percy Harvin but leave out that they won the SuperBowl that year.

Perry Harvin was nowhere near the mental head-case Antonio Brown is, and he certainly had little to nothing to do with Seattle winning the Super Bowl that year.
Harvin played sparingly in the regular season due to injuries, and with the exception of a nice jet sweep or two, the big plays he made in the Super Bowl came after Seattle had established its dominance.
Seattle wins that Super Bowl with or without Percy Harvin.

  20. I can just see it now……..first Seattle loss and Brown having been targeted maybe 6 times, he will be sitting at his locker going Instagram live snickering telling his followers Russ should have thrown him 12 more for a win while showing a few guys sulking in chairs while Pete gives another inspirational post game speech-
