Cam Newton meets up with N’Keal Harry for workout

Cam Newton is continuing the process of developing relationships with his new Patriots teammates this week.

Newton met up with wide receiver Mohamed Sanu in Los Angeles last week so they could work out together and the quarterback spent some time with another member of the receiving corps this time around. Videographer John Aguero shared video of Newton’s workout with N'Keal Harry on a field at UCLA.

The one-on-one workouts can’t take the place of a full offseason, but it will give Newton some familiarity with the players he’ll be throwing passes to once training camp starts later this month. He’s also making his way through the team’s playbook as he gets used to life as a member of the Patriots.

Developing chemistry with Newton couldn’t hurt Harry either. The first-round pick was limited to 12 catches in seven games during his rookie season and the team would love to see a jump in his productivity in Year Two.

  1. I know it’s just practice. But last year we saw TB12 yell a few times when NH stopped his routes.

In this video he “practices” coasting as soon as he has the ball. I’d prefer to see him take a few quick steps before shutting down. I hope that won’t be an issue this year!

That’s what separates the GOAT. Same mentality whether in practice or in a game.

  3. Where is the pandemic outrage over the Cam workout ?

When Brady has a workout, it’s deemed dangerous and irresponsible.

  4. McDaniels calling plays with Newton will be fun again. Really, last year it was Michel in backfield – run play. Bring 8 into the box. White in backfield – pass. Man coverage. Ignore tight ends. Rush Brady.
Little different now. There will be designed runs for Newton. There are 2 rookie TE’s that will turn some heads, running seam routes. Newton has a little more zip on the deep ball too. It will definitely be a more exciting offence.

  5. Classic case of nepotism, Jakobi Meyers was more productive last season
The first round pick is a sunk cost

  6. So he has an informal workout in the park, hires a videographer, and makes sure the media gets a copy of the video? Wheels up, here we go!

Or, Harry was already open and by the time Brady finally looked at him aftter skipping 2 steps of his progressions, he was covered and the play was dead anyway.

Hint: Meyers was very good last year and even though Harry missed about 10 games as a rookie, he looked good in small windows of time as well.

Nailed it. Stidham and Newton won’t play favorites or do what Brady did last year. Brady was a disgrace.

  9. Well he’s got 2 years because unfortunately there won’t be any football this year.

  10. What a concept, practice with the guys on your team. TB12arrogance, what do you think of that idea? Oh yeah, have fun in Tampa Bay not playing this season

Stidham will be lucky to make the team and if he does he will not be the starter
