Aaron Rodgers, Danica Patrick call it quits

Covering the private life of a public figure often presents a tough call. But when the private life of a public figure includes another public figure, it becomes a lot easier.

Three years ago, we pointed out that Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and actress Olivia Munn had ended their relationship. And so we decided, after seriously considering not mentioning it at all but realizing that others (including ESPN.com) had, to post a blurb regarding the fact that Rodgers and Danica Patrick has ended.

And so there it is: Their relationship has ended.

They had met, per ESPN.com, in 2012 at the ESPYs. They began dating in 2017, and they went public in 2018.

Even though they weren’t married, the uncoupling carries with it some complications, including but not limited to a $28 million Malibu estate that they bought together in December.

Which is the kind of issue many can relate to following a breakup. If the $28 million Malibu estate were a dog or a bird or a $200 TV from Best Buy.

  1. She knows he’s being run put of Cheese Bay and she wants to date someone with a future in his cards.

  2. $28M estate jointly purchased with someone you’re not married too… that was… not wise. They almost assuredly had some kind of contract in place with each other to account for this kind of situation but still, that’s a scary amount on money to put on the line if they indeed purchased it together.

    Hilarious! Best line all day.

  4. Seems like Danica is a failure at whatever she tries. Her Indy Car team was thankful she left because she was awful. She was hype over substance. And her NASCAR career was incompetence personified. Now she isn’t good enough for a man whose ego consumes people for dinner.

  5. I am sure they have a contract. One or the other will buy out the contract. Or they will sell it. Its not that big of a deal.

  6. Oh to be a single NFL QB. Rumor has it he’s hanging with Shailene Woodley (and yes I’m kinda embarrassed to say I know that — my kids told me). Still, oh to be a single NFL QB.

  7. Do jointly owning an extremely valuable asset that will only build in value especially in Malibu is a problem? Whatever. Rent out. Sell at the right time, split the profits, not a big deal. They’re both extremely well off and they aren’t going to haggle over this type of thing

  8. If these two crazy kids can’t make it, what chance do the rest of us have?

Don’t do it! Don’t do it!

  10. There’s a reason Rodgers has celebrity “girlfriends” that he pays to have “news” put out about.

  11. Rodgers maybe a good QB but is a failure when it comes to women! Danica got tired of being disappointed…

  12. I vow to remain neutral in this split and will respect their privacy during this difficult time, and can make myself available to house sit should the need arise.

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Ah yes, he mentioned a jealous stalker named Pat.

  14. For Rodgers it’s like going from peanut butter cookies, to chocolate chip cookies, to oatmeal raisin cookies. They’re all delicious and there’s a lot more where those came from.

    Bon Appetit!

  15. I could not care less about who NFL players girlfriends are or are not.
