As the positive COVID-19 test for Eagles coach Doug Pederson shows, any NFL head coach can be rendered unavailable at a moment’s notice in 2020.

So which teams are in the best shape to withstand the sudden availability of their head coach?

That was the subject of Tuesday’s PFT Live draft. Simms and I each selected three and then mentioned a couple of others. The video has the full list.

Watch it. React to it. List your own. And tune in at 7:00 a.m. ET to NBCSN, Sky Sports, and/or SiriusXM 211 for Wednesday’s edition of the show.

  1. The teams with the worst coaches, such as the Jets with Adam Gase.
    The hardest hit will be the Patriots.

  2. So Dallas has 4 former NFL HC in addition to Mike McCarthy, but doesn’t make the list…

    I would have assumed that was a plus…

  3. Packers. They made very few changes year-to-year and they have one of the best player-coaches in the game with Rodgers. Conversely, the Vikings, with fifteen draft picks and six starters gone, would be screwed.

  4. Minnesota has already gone through the ringer with the Zim eye surgeries, so I do believe they are uniquely positioned to overcome any coaching loss due to C-19. Having a former Super Bowl winning coach in Gary Kubiak is a huge plus as well.

    You just gonna forget about Kubiak I guess? lol

  6. Broncos got their head coach, and the other potential head coach as the o-line coach. I’d worry about Vic’s health if he got sick though

    +++++

    Gary Kubiak has a career coaching record of 82-75. He’s like the Trent Dilfer of coaches.
