Broncos put Von Miller on injured reserve

The Broncos knew last week that linebacker Von Miller wouldn’t be playing on Monday night against the Titans, but they didn’t take him off their roster before the game.

That move came on Tuesday. The Broncos have placed Miller on injured reserve as a result of the ankle tendon injury that may end his season.

Broncos head coach Vic Fangio left the door open for Miller’s return at some point late this season. He is eligible to return at any point after he has spent three weeks on the list.

Miller had surgery last Friday and will do his rehab work while the Broncos continue the regular season. Bradley Chubb, Jeremiah Attaochu and Malik Reed were the outside linebackers against the Titans with Miller out of the picture. The team could add more depth to the spot, but they haven’t filled Miller’s roster spot yet.

  1. Sad as this might end his time in Denver as well. It is a team option next year for him and at his age pass rushers start to slow down a lot. I could see them extending him and have him try to play the role that Ware played for him before.

  2. Our beloved Broncos continue to under perform.
First Elway failed to trade Miller when his value was high like San Fransisco did last year. Miller could have brought us a first and third round draft choices at a fraction of the cost for Miller. Now, Miller has no trade value,

Further, Fangio doesn’t have the slightest idea how to manage a clock.

In addition his basic philosophy sucks “Have the defense keep us in a low-scoring game and then hope for a break at the end.” BORING!!!

I still like the home team, but we’re not going anywhere as long as these gusts keep making dumb mistakes.
