Patriots have no new positive tests

The Patriots got good news on the COVID-19 situation today.

New England had no new positive tests today, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. That comes a day after cornerback Stephon Gilmore tested positive, and five days after quarterback Cam Newton tested positive.

Although the Patriots are getting plenty of attention because their two most important players tested positive, they so far have had just Gilmore, Newton and practice squad defensive tackle Bill Murray test positive.

As of now, the Patriots’ Sunday game against the Broncos is still on as scheduled. The Patriots will work remotely today, and if there are no more positives tomorrow, there’s a good chance they’ll be able to move forward this week.

  1. Who needs the top two remaining players (after the quarterback left, 3 of 3 linebackers left or opted out as did the SS)?
NFL is a joke. Any other team would get games delayed, but they’ll make the pats play

  2. Patriots are my team. If they can play they should play. this year of covid will have many inequities. some will benefit some won’t.

    what is is.

  3. Goodell is cheating. NE has not been able to practice and Denver has.

Mr. Integrity is so used to cheating the Pats, he doesn’t even care how bad it looks. As if the “in the grasp” call wasn’t bad enough to cheat on Monday?

  4. How can the LEAGUE, that is supposedly cracking down on teams about following & implementing the proper protocols to prevent outbreaks, then turn around & have a team play another team after only 3 days after a player from each team tests positive for the virus & also KNOWS FOR A FACT that there is a 10-14 day incubation period before they will know how many players are TRULY infected??!!
Talk about being HYPOCRITICAL in their approach to player safety & doing due diligence to attempt to control further outbreaks!!!!
The following teams should not play this weekend until the proper timeframe/incubation period is passed & players test negative after that..
    Pats
    Titans
    Chiefs
    Raiders

  5. As much as I hate the Patriots this is what happens when a club follows the protocols – an infection is contained. Unlike Tennessee that clearly didn’t follow protocols.

    lol

  7. That’s great but with a 14 day incubation period they are far from out of the woods

It is typically a 2-5 day incubation period
