The Texans are the latest NFL team to close their facility after a positive COVID-19 test.

Houston had one player test positive and closed the facility today, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The Texans are on their bye this week, so there’s no immediate threat to the schedule. All NFL players are tested every day, including during bye weeks.

The Packers were at the Texans on Sunday. There has been no immediate word on whether the Packers will need to take any additional precautions.

  1. I haven’t heard any positive tests come from the Packers this morning. Let us hope that continues the rest of the week and that this is a isolated case that stays with only the Texans.

I hate when I see players shaking hands and talking after the game. Not doing that should be part of the protocols. I’m shocked that it isn’t when I see it happening after every game every week. There are ways to make these games even less like super spreader events.

If contact with the Texans causes the Packers problems this week, I will blame Mark Murphy and the Packers medical experts for not making it a part of Covid protocols to head immediately to locker room after the game. A simple wave to the opposing team after the game is enough during a pandemic.

  2. Oh boy….where are all the Texans’ fans that were demanding fines, forfeits and loss of draft picks from the Titans?

    Just stop already.
Multiple players have tested positive and the league continues to play.

  4. I think the Packers will be just fine, no need to get your undies in a bunch Packer fans. You can’t blame Mark Murphy, C’mon Man.

You mean the Titans who just got fined $350K as a result of violating protocols? Yeah that’s why. The Texans are doing it the right way.
