J.K. Dobbins, Mark Ingram are expected to join Ravens in Pittsburgh

The first signs of the COVID-19 outbreak in the Ravens organization popped up last Monday with word of positive tests that resulted in running backs J.K. Dobbins and Mark Ingram being placed on the COVID-19 reserve list.

At the time, the response was that they’d miss that Thursday’s game against the Steelers. It quickly became clear that the issue went far beyond the two backs and the game was postponed three times before being rescheduled for Wednesday night.

Thanks to those postponements, it appears Dobbins and Ingram will be available to play against the Steelers. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Wednesday will be 11 days since their positive tests and the two backs are expected to clear the COVID-19 protocols at that point.

As a result, they’re expected to fly to Pittsburgh on Wednesday to join their teammates. The rest of the team is scheduled to leave on Tuesday. The Ravens also activated four players from the reserve list on Monday, so their roster won’t be quite as thin as it would have been any of the first three times they were scheduled to play.

  1. Lol, the Broncos didn’t have a single QB to at least give some fight on the field, but the Ravens will get their two RBs back, seems fair Roger, seems fair…

  2. I wonder if they’ll keep postponing until all the Ravens players are able to play. That would be in direct opposition to what they have done with other teams. It sure looks like the Ravens are getting preferential treatment. Maybe they didn’t want to hear Harbaugh whine for the next month. I hope the Ravens don’t win another game.

  3. Nice to see both ready to play. Steelers here come the Ravens!!! Just kidding. Too many missing starters to make it a game. So fitting for 2020… Weird game!

  4. That was always the plan drag it out so you get your RB back in time for Pittsburgh game. Then because of the Dallas game being Tuesday Lamar will be able to play

  5. The crybabies of the NFL win again. And when the Ravens upset the Steelers we will hear how great Harbaugh is in the face of adversity blah blah.

  6. Wait, unless my memory is hazy, which it might be, didn’t those two start this whole mess in the first place?

  7. Its all about the money. Steelers vs Ravens in prime time is greater than Broncos (4-7) on Sunday afternoon. So they screwed the Broncos. However now I believe the game is Wednesday at 2:40….lol getting a big audience for that.

  8. But they haven’t had time to practice! How could he league possibly force them to play under these conditions?

  9. There was some report that the Ravens threatened to boycott if they had to play Tuesday.

What a bunch of cry babies.

The power and influence Bisciotti has over the NFL is really staggering.

From Ray Lewis to Suggs’s domestic cover ups the Ray Rice fiasco cover up, to no punishments of recent practice and headset cheating, along with Blue Tooth Guy going left unchecked, now to this.

    It’s just unbelievable.

  11. Yet Wisconsin Badgers players who aren’t paid are forced to sit out 21 days. At least pretend there’s science involved.

  12. What a joke. Ravens should’ve been forced to play yesterday with who they had available. I hope they get curbstomped tomorrow afternoon.

how it this possible if it hasnt been 2 weeks, correct me if Im wrong
    *******************************************

It’s a “Rules for thee, but not for me” situation.

  14. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Anyone who would have been unavailable to play at the time the game was initially scheduled should be barred from playing.

  15. The Steelers have the least secure fans in history. Y’all are 10-0 and are doing nothing but crying because the big bad 6-4 team with 17 players on the COVID list is getting back its RBs. Notwithstanding the fact it won’t have its QB, FB, WR2, TE1, TE2, LT, C1, C2, LDE, LDE2, DT2, OLB1, OLB2, CB3, CB5, CB6, CB7, CB8, and LS. But because they’re getting a rookie runningback back the NFL is out to get the 10-0 steelers

  16. Anonymousraven1…it’s not about anyone being out to get the Steelers. It’s about the Ravens being given preferential treatment compared to others for a situation THEY CAUSED. And it’s obvious that the Ravens are trying to use their infuence with the league office to screw up the Steelers by not only delaying this game until they get reinforcements but also by forcing them to play their next two games on short weeks. And the Steelers aren’t the one threatening not to play. So who are the real whiners here.

Crybabies!??? I wonder what it would be like to play a game without practicing or even going over the game plan? Who would want to watch a one-sided game? I am very surprised the Steelers fans are mad about facing a decimated team that is getting a couple of players back. Relax!!! The Ravens don’t have a chance in winning this game. I just hope it’s not a laugher. Well! I could use a laugh or two. It has been a rough year!

Actually, they were victims like everyone else by being exposed to Covid from a stupid meat-head in strength and conditioning!

  19. tomservo – The only legitimate gripe the Steelers have is why their next game is being played on Monday and the Ravens game is being played on Tuesday. But even that just gives the Steelers an extra day the following week so it doesn’t matter. Everything else has been explained 1000 times at this point, and if you don’t get it, it’s on you:
    1) The NFL hasn’t issued fines/draft picks for anyone but repeat offenders. The Ravens are not.
    2) The NFL has only had two uncontained outbreaks (Titans, Ravens). Both times, games were moved. It is purely coincidence that both times the Steelers were involved. All other times fans are complaining about – 49ers + Broncos in particular – positive tests were contained to a single day or two.
    3) The game was moved twice as the Ravens continued generating positive tests and a third time to allow the Ravens a single practice with their field of practice squad players for player safety.
    4) The Steelers didn’t practice basically all of last week. They had their bye, they’ll be okay.
    5) What influence, exactly, do the midmarket Ravens have with the league office that the Steelers wouldn’t have? This is baffling.
    6) The Ravens also will be playing their next two games on short weeks, so your point there is baffling too.

    Where am I wrong?

  20. Yes the Ravens are repeat offenders. Harbaugh was fined for taking off his mask to scream at an official. The difference is that the Ravens had no positive tests Mon or Tues so the implication is that the game keeps getting moved for competive reasons because the Ravens complained about not having enough practice time. Pats played the Chiefs with almost no practice. Titans played the Bills will almost no practice. Raiders had to play one week with most of their OL on COVID restriction and another week without most of their starting defense. Broncos just had to play without a QB. Why are the Ravens being treated differently? BECAUSE THEY WHINED LIKE PETULANT CHILDREN AND GOODELL GAVE IN.

  21. And as to the point about the Ravens also having their next two games on short weeks…true, but most of their key players will have had 2 weeks of rest from being on COVID restriction. And they are the ones responsible for this so they should be punished by playing on short weeks.

  22. the ravens objective in this was to get their team back for the cowboys game, which if they lose their season is essentially over. with the help of the nfl, mission accomplished. unfortunately for them, it won’t do anything to help lamar read a defense or deliver a pass on time. with even lowly cleveland ahead of baltimore in the standings, the ravens are having a hard time adjusting to their new role as spoilers, when up until recently they were contenders.

  23. tomservo, where are you getting your information from that the Ravens key players are responsible for the outbreak? It was a strength and conditioning coach.

LOL sounds like you’re already crying about a hypothetical loss that isn’t even going to happen. Settle down, Beavis.

  25. Never said the the players were responsible. Although I find it highly unlikely that all of this came from just one guy not following the rules. Regardless, the organization as a whole is responsible. And the players are part of the organization. The point to all of this is that the NFL said they would NOT move games for competitive reasons. And they didn’t for the Pats, Titans, Raiders or Broncos. So why are they doing it for the Ravens? It’s not consistent and it sets a bad precedent. Now any other team that has a similar issue is going to pull the same crap and it will put the season as a whole in jeopardy.

  26. Lets hope the Ravens plane gets off ib time or the players will cry they have jet lag and can’t get dressed, talk about some more NFL league office question mark decesions

  27. tom except the ravens really messed this up, as the ravens have the short weeks as compared to the steelers as here’s the ravens schedule next 4 weeks, they won’t even know what day of the week it is week 12 weds at steelers, week 13 vs cowboys tuesday, after the stelers game got moved twice, week 14 at browns monday, and that was the monday night game scheduled week 15 vs jaguars sunday 1 pm, here’s the steelers next 4 games weds vs ravens, week 13 vs the football team, thanks to the shenagians of the ravens it got moved from 1 pm sunday to 5 pm monday, week 14, sunday night at buffalo, that was the scheduled sunday night game, week 15 at bungles, the scheduled monday night game, so the ravens crying probably ends up helping the steelers

    ======

Over 30 members of the Ravens organization got a virus that potentially could have lasting effects and endanger their families. They didn’t have an “objective” in this you absolute walnut

Ask the Patriots. 2 weeks without practice then forced to play. The Broncos too. It’s become crystal clear that Baltimore gets what they want when they want it. Except playoff wins.
