With three games to play, Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has 30 touchdown passes in his first season with the team. With three more, he’ll tie Jameis Winston for the most touchdown passes in one season in team history.

Winston set the record in 2019, when he also became the first quarterback in league history to throw 30 touchdown passes and 33 interceptions.

Brady has only 11 interceptions in 13 games. Unless he has 22 in the final three, he won’t have to worry about matching Winston’s less impressive feat.

Despite playing only 13 games for the Buccaneers, Brady already is tied for 10th on the franchise’s all-time passing touchdown list, with Mike Glennon. With two more, Brady will tie Brian Griese for ninth place. With two more beyond that, he’ll tie Craig Erickson for No. 8.

It would take a second season to catch Steve DeBerg at No. 7. DeBerg had 61.

With 71 or more, Brady would crack the top five, leapfrogging Trent Dilfer.

  1. Just goes to show how bad Tampa has been at the QB position, can’t blame Jameis Winston all the time…

  2. It goes to show that the Bucs have had a lot of bad quarterbacks in their franchise history.

  3. Brady is 10X or more the qb as the one he replaced…
The present now confirms the Bucs made the best decision releasing a 3rd string qb for an aging Brady… Brady likely ends the season with 35+ TD…

  4. How many did Brad Johnson have? He’s the only QB that ever did much in Tampa, along with Doug Williams early on. Team around for 45 years and has had maybe two periods of time when they were even “good.”

  5. It’s like the Buccaneers have QB skills like the Patriots once had and the Patriots have QB skill level like the Buccaneers once had.

  6. Despite what the Winston fans believe 30 TDs with 33 interceptions is not impressive and yes the Bucs have been very bad at the QB position. No surprise that Brady would easily start breaking franchise records.

  7. It was 33 TDs and 30 picks. Still terrible but let’s get it right.

Tampa Bay hasn’t exactly had a run like Brett Favre-Aaron Rodgers or Joe Montana-Steve Young.

  8. That’s what happens when you pad your stats with crappy 1yd td throws.

Brady has three 1 yard TD passes this season. Such a stat ladder!
