Reports noting Raiders running back Josh Jacobs‘ DUI arrest in Las Vegas early Monday morning said that he was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and his mug shot provides evidence of one of those injuries.

TMZ obtained that photograph and it shows Jacobs with sutures holding together a large laceration on his forehead. The police report from the incident says Jacobs told officers that he thinks he fell asleep at the wheel, which makes him very lucky that his injuries were minor ones.

The police report also says that Jacobs told officers he’d been drinking and that there was an odor of alcohol on his breath, but that Jacobs passed a field sobriety test after being taken to the hospital.

Attorneys for Jacobs released a statement saying that they “intend to enter a not guilty plea on behalf of Mr. Jacobs if he is ever charged.”

  1. Sad to read about this. Hope this doesn’t mean the young man has bigger issues that are going to derail his career.

  2. He’s lucky his injuries were minor. It doesn’t sound like any charges will be filed since unless they took some of his blood and it tests over the limit.

I have a scar like that on my forehead. It wasn’t much longer until football season and it hurt to put a helmet on. If they had made the playoffs he’d have a hard time wearing a helmet.

  3. So he’s not only a drunk driver…he’s a BLACKOUT drunk driver. Can’t get any worse than that.
And there’s no reason to think this won’t happen time & time again. Even this probably wasn’t the first time.
This guy is a TRUE Raider.

  4. He needs to face suspensions. He’s lucky that he didn’t kill anyone.

Of course he was drunk. He was so drunk that he blacked out.

  5. Thinking he should just stay away from cars, he’s lived in them, he’s crashing them… 😬

  6. “Of course he was drunk. He was so drunk that he blacked out.”

So he was so drunk he blacked out but not too drunk to pass a sobriety test?

  7. Can only hope he learns from this! This Kid is a huge success story and should use his time telling it to the underprivileged kids and possibly changing their lives. He has a chance to be a elite running back for years to come!

  8. So he was so drunk he blacked out but not too drunk to pass a sobriety test?

The sobriety test only tests motor functions. It’s an easy test to pass, even while drunk, for athletes.

The fact that he blacked out while driving is proof that he was drunk.

  9. What a shame to have such a huge scar on his young face. Is it going to open up everytime he is in a collision with a LB? He’ll find himself in the Jon Ritchie Raider club now.
