The Senior Bowl has finally found two coaching staffs willing to work this year’s game.

Panthers coach Matt Rhule and his staff will coach one side and Dolphins coach Brian Flores and his staff will coach the other side, according to multiple reports.

Typically the Senior Bowl coaching spots go to the teams with the worst records that do not fire their head coaches. But this year, some coaching staffs turned the Senior Bowl down, so the 10-6 Dolphins are doing it.

Two annual college all-star games, the East-West Shrine Bowl and NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, were canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But the Senior Bowl will go on, as will the Hula Bowl.

  1. Both of these young coaches who get it take advantage of an opportunity to get an inside track on draft evaluations. Smart

  2. Man, I love this opportunity for Miami. They get to get their hands on many of these kids, and with scouting combine up in the air, many of the kids that would usually bypass this game might just opt in to improve their draft position. Now we need to find a OC

  3. If the Dolphins are thinking about drafting a wide reciever with that number 3 pick I hope they reconsider. They’ve named Tua the starter and we’ve already seen he needs a clean pocket to be effective. He’s not going to be a great quarterback. Tua will need to have a running game and time to throw out of play action. He’s accurate as hell and it’s his best trait. Emphasize that. Run a west coast offense and select an offensive line,an if available value is there. If not trade down. A quarterbacks job is facilitate the play makers around him. He’s not going to do that in the NFL throwing deep to a speedster. He can facilitate by calling run plays and throwing short passes to quick recovers underneath. If Miami tries to prove he’s a big strike quarterback that can win without a running game we will fail. Run the ball, use play action ,and the tight ends.
Try to fit a square peg in a round hole and Miami will be out of the playoffs again next year. Besides not many top ten recoevers win Super Bowls. Look it up. List of them ask for a ton of money and end up on other teams trying to get to the super bowl and don’t.

  4. Miami made a huge mistake by playing Tua in 2020. That decision ruined his value completely. Now of the Dolphins wanted to pick a Quarterback at number 3 they are throwing away that pick from last year. They can’t get a first round pick for Tua,everyone knows he’s not a first round talent now. Worse, they pulled him from two games and proved it. Piling on to that there are players speaking out to the press that Tua isn’t and wasn’t ready from what they saw in practice. Even worse than that any player that is a Miami free agent will see Tua as a reason to leave, especially if Fitz doesn’t come back. Our coach really screwed this up,and if Tua doesn’t improve drastically Miami will be right back where they’ve been for 2 decades, winning 7 to 9 games and stuck in mediocrity.
I also think Chan left because he saw that we picked the wrong quarterback. I believe he wanted Herbert because well ,Herbert is Chan Galey’s god son and he had an inside track to what kind of quarterback he’d be.
