Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians announced Friday that wide receiver Antonio Brown is out for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the Packers, a chance from his earlier stance that Brown would be a game-time decision.

Brown is one of several effective offensive weapons for the Buccaneers, who can likely effectively replace him. Still, quarterback Tom Brady lamented that Brown won’t be available.

“We’re gonna have to find a way to win,” Brady said Friday, via Ben Volin of the Boston Globe. “It obviously sucks for Antonio. We all wish he could be out there with us, and other guys are gonna have to step up and do the job.”

Brown caught 45 passes for 483 yards with four touchdowns during the regular season, notably making 11 receptions for 138 yards with a pair of TDs in Week 17. He’s caught three passes for 59 yards and a TD on six targets in Tampa Bay’s two playoff victories.

  1. Brady talking like AB is the top WR on the team.

“We’re gonna have to find a way to win.”

Like it is was a sure thing if AB played.

I obviously want the Packers to win, but it be a little extra joy to watch Brady get his bubble burst. And knock him off the throne he gave himself.

  2. Will he make the trip to snowy Lambeau and freeze his butt off on the sidelines, or remain in cozy warm sunshiny Tampa Bay?

Tampa D will have to score to win….and there is a good chance of this.

    Not necessarily
Green Bay’s D isn’t anything special and it’s coached by Mike Pettin.
Tom Brady vs a Mike Pettin coached D is 10-3 with 24 tds and 5 ints. And 270 yards per game.
And he’s done that bs better mike Pettin coached D than this one.

Then you have the Suh factor. He almost made Rogers cry the last time they played.

  4. Having AB out gives Scotty Miller more game time which is a good thing. The one position that the Bucs have a surplus in and can afford injuries is the WR position.

  5. They should give Tyler Johnson more opportunities. The guy makes plays when they throw him the ball.

Brady didn’t “give himself” a throne.

Those six rings gave it to him.

Sounds like an Aaron Rogers fan is a litle Jelly 😉
