How many more records can Tom Brady set?

He’s the first player to win six Super Bowls and has a chance for a seventh. He’s now the first player to make 10 Super Bowls.

Only six baseball players have appeared in 10 or more World Series and only four basketball players have appeared in 10 or more NBA Finals, according to Josh Dubow of the Associated Press.

Only Yogi Berra (14), Mickey Mantle (12), Whitey Ford (11), Elston Howard (10), Joe DiMaggio (10) and Babe Ruth (10) from baseball and Bill Russell (12), Sam Jones (11), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (10) and LeBron James (10) in basketball have accomplished what Brady now has.

Brady got the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl in his first season in Tampa Bay. Only three other quarterbacks ever have started Super Bowls for two teams, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Peyton Manning did it for the Colts and Broncos, Craig Morton for the Cowboys and Broncos and Kurt Warner for the Rams and Cardinals. Manning, of course, is the only starting quarterback to win Super Bowls for two different franchises.

  1. That is EXACTLY what the NFL wanted. Hence the obvious lack of equal officiating in the game.
Either call the game equally or go back to replay on EVERYTHING.

  2. Given how Brady’s and Belichick’s seasons panned out, I guess we now know who made who in Foxboro!

  3. I seem to remember Patriots fans laughing about TB going to TB and how they were still going to win the Super Bowl with Stidham and the Bucs would still be terrible. I guess that didn’t work out like you Kool-Aid drinks planned did it. The Patriots are home for the playoffs and TB12 is going to the Super Bowl. I guess we know who the genius was now don’t we.

    Hint: It’s not BB.

  4. Packer fans thinking their corner water skiing behind a Bucs receiver isn’t holding. Thats their fan base for ya.

  5. I don’t like Brady, but I respect him. He bet on himself and left NE and continues his legend. Mad respect.

  6. Tampa’s defense and Green Bay coaching ineptitude got Brady to the Super Bowl

  7. And let’s make clear the deal with Peyton Manning. he played less than half the season and was one of the worst QB’s in the NFL at that point, with a stellar defense. Tampa’s Bucs are carried by Tom Brady. not the same thing.

  8. At this point, Brady is going to play at least another 3 years. When its all said and done, he might have 3 HOF careers. 2000-2008, 2009-2020, 2020-?

You “seem to remember” incorrectly, it was actually the Brady haters that were singing your song for you not the Pats fans. The Pats fans were noting that he was getting dropped into a lethal group of receiving weapons and knew what that meant and have been enjoying the heck out of it. We would have liked him having those weapons here in NE but we understand that was not to be and that this is in fact the best situation for the guy that has given us 20 years of everything he had.
