Gabriel Davis couldn’t stomach watching the Super Bowl

The Bills were a win from playing in Super Bowl LV. It was close but no confetti.

Instead, the Bills were like most everyone else, relegated to watching the game on television.

Or not.

Bills receiver Gabriel Davis said he couldn’t bear to watch.

“I couldn’t watch it because it made my stomach hurt,” Davis said, via Chris Hays of the Orlando Sentinel. “I feel like we should have been there.”

Should’ve. Could’ve. Would’ve.

The Chiefs beat the Bills 38-24 before losing to the Buccaneers in the Super Bowl.

“That’s our standard, obviously, now,” Davis said. “We set the standard and we’re playing to be above that standard every single year. So our guys are going to get back to work, and we’re going to be ready to go, and hopefully we get a big one next year.”

Davis caught 35 passes for 599 yards and seven touchdowns his rookie season. He stands to become the starter opposite Stefon Diggs if the Bills cut John Brown.

“I know I belong in this league, and I’m gonna show it every single year,” Davis said.

  1. These Bills are very entitled and unlikeable. They threw away their draft and will be in cap hell soon with Allen, as the Pats simply surge back.

The lack of respect Buffalo is showing NE is classless, which is not surprising.

They’ll end up like Jax. lol

He literally said nothing about NE, didn’t bash them in any way, and you’re talking about a lack or respect? Sounds like the shoe is on the other foot.

  3. The Bills will be good for a long time. They have a great young QB who’s still improving, He’s just starting to scratch the surface. He’ll get much better. The physical stuff was always there, but he’s putting in the work and improving every year. He’s also very well coached. Exciting time for Buffalo fans and players. There’s a reason why the teams being quarterbacked by Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, and Josh Allen were the final four teams. It’s a QB league.

  4. Whatever. All the teams but one lose every year. Get used to it. The Bills are good, but not great.

  5. Yes we all know how the Patriots players have treated the rest of the AFC East with such class over the years.

  6. “The lack of respect Buffalo is showing NE is classless, which is not surprising.“

New England shall be dunked on until they show they don’t deserve to be dunked on anymore.

    Enjoy karma.

  7. Entitled? There are many reasons to dislike any team, fair enough. But entitled? No way. They know they’re not at the chiefs level yet, they found that out x2 this season. Their internal expectations are high, but that doesn’t make them entitled, it makes them competitors. They obviously like playing in January and not watching from the couch, that should be the mind set of every team

  8. He should have watched it, it was great. He needs to watch the drunk Brady Lombardi trophy toss too, talk about setting standards:).

  9. And get hammered by Brady?? Bills fans had to be relieved when they lost to kc once Brady took down both NO and packers on the road.

  10. Your team was thoroughly outclassed by the team that got embarrassed in the Super Bowl.
Sure, you guys set the standard, if that standard is losing without humility or a sense of how far you have to go to before even getting to the title game.

Lack of respect? GTFOH with that. The Bills swept NE for the first time in many years and you say THEY are disrespectful? This Bills team is nothing but class! Cap hell? The kid was a top 3 QB in 2020, 2nd in MVP voting and he’s yet to hit his ceiling!
    Someone is jealous!

  12. Sounds like a team that doesn’t like the taste left after the season. This is gonna make them hit the buffet if they all believe as a team.

  13. Respect NE?!?! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Not anymore, it was all Tom. All of it.

  14. So good to have TB6 and his/her sizzling hot takes back after self-imposed banishment. You know… “cap hell”… “Pats are disrespected”… all the hits. Looking forward to seeing the Bills beat up even more on NE this upcoming season as the Patriots “resurge.”

Do you know anything about football? What a fool!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Guys, this dude was so much better than the stats show or what many people realize. He can (and did) play ALL receiver positions this past season. He can, and is willing to, block downfield. He’s an excellent route runner with great hands and instinct. No moment was too big in any game for him. He will only get better.
Gabe is a ferocious competitor and didn’t resemble a rookie at any point in year 1. He will take firm control of the WR2 position as John Brown’s likely replacement.

RIGHT….CAUSE NE ALWAYS SHOWED BUFFALO RESPECT.. LIKE THE TIME GRONK DOVE HIS SHOULDER INTO TRÉ DAVIOUS WHITE’S HEAD AS WHITE LAID ON THE GROUND FOR 10 SECONDS AFTER PICKING OFF BRADY IN 2017. YEAH…THAT WAS 100% RESPECT RIGHT THERE.

TRUTH BE KNOWN…THE PATRIOTS OFFICIALLY SUCK NOW AND WILL FOR SEVERAL YEARS. WISHES DO COME TRUE!

    Buccaneers set the standard

    NO THEY DIDN’T

  19. So they get rolled by the Chiefs but “should have” made it to the SB? I guess that’s one way to look at it. Another way would be that they get rolled by the Chiefs and weren’t remotely close to taking that next step.

  20. “I feel like we should have been there.”

    —-

I am not sure why he felt they should have been there, its not like it was a close championship game. KC beat the Bills in every phase of the game.

  21. Bills had a great season. Gabriel is correct the Super Bowl is there only goal at this point. BTW: Gabriel is donating his time and money. He bought a kid some prosthetic legs and a trip to Disney. He also donates to his old high school. So not an entitled guy at all

The Bills have picks 1-3, two 5’s, and a 6th and 7th this year, so they have not thrown away a draft. Article doesn’t speak about New England, doesn’t throw shade at them. The Pats are not a playoff football team right now. No team is forever. The Pats REALLY NEED to stop throwing away drafts. Point me to a Pro Bowler they have drafted in the last 5 years?

  23. “These Bills are very entitled and unlikeable. They threw away their draft and will be in cap hell soon with Allen.” …Just leave it at that!

  24. I think touchback would be amazed if he got out more and saw how many fans actually like the Buffalo Bills. They seem to be likeable to me. Especially Gabriel Davis.
