The full NFL schedule will officially get released on Wednesday night, but the first week’s games were announced on Wednesday morning and reports of other notable games are leaking out.

One of those leaks involves the Thanksgiving slate of games. Master Tesfatsion of Bleacher Report reports that the Bears will visit the Lions, the Raiders will visit the Cowboys, and the Bills will be in New Orleans to face the Saints in the final game of the day.

It will be the third time in the last four years that the Bears have spent Thanksgiving with their NFC North rivals. They won in Detroit in 2018 and 2019.

The Saints are also playing on Thanksgiving for the third time in the last four years. They beat the Falcons at home in 2018 and beat them in Atlanta the next year.

The Raiders visited Dallas on Thanksgiving in 2009 and 2013. They lost both of those matchups and also lost their last meeting with the Cowboys at home in 2017.

  1. Good slate of games except for raiders/cowboys.
2 teams that’ll be out of playoff contention when this game is played.

  2. Raiders?? Was hoping for a Washington/Dallas rivalry again..but with some Fitzmagic this time. I think it would be a more entertaining game on Thanksgiving,Nationally!!

  3. Between the turkey and the Bears, there is NO chance I’m not out cold by 1pm CT…..

  4. People forget that this Cowboys team his far superior then last years. First of all they got rid of the worst DC in all of football, he never put the players in the right positions. Secondly they were missyAll of their starting offensive line not to mention also their second string ol they were Actually playing UDFA on the online most of the year. Thirdly Dak is back under center. We drafted some very good players on defense. TB12 Meet Parsons a fast blitzing LB who will probably have you on your backside for almost all the game!

Oh yes, because the Bears and Lions are such perennial playoff contending teams and the Saints without Brees are guaranteed to be in play off contention. SMFH.

I was thinking the same thing. That’s always been a fun Thanksgiving Day matchup.
