Wide receiver Julio Jones got on a plane to Nashville Tuesday to formally join the Titans and he took some time to say farewell to his former team as well.

In a post to his Instagram account captioned “Forever I’ll love Atlanta,” Jones shared appreciation for his time with the Falcons and looked forward to getting started with his new team.

“Thank you ATL for all the love you’ve shown me over the years,” Jones wrote. “It’s been an amazing 10 years playing for the city and all the fans. I appreciate everything you’ve done for me over the years and will never forget my time as an Atlanta Falcon.”

“Excited for the next part of my journey here in Nashville. To the fans, I want to thank you all for the warm welcome for me and my family. We are very excited to be part of the Titans family. Ready to get to work!”

Jones will have a little time to work with the team before the offseason program comes to an end, but training camp will be the time for Jones to get an extended introduction to life with the Titans.

  1. Julio and AJ. Two big athletic WRs taken in the top 10 in the same draft. Both exceeded expectations. Both relocating this year.

  2. Can’t double Julio and AJ and defend Henry. AFCCG is the likely destination with a possible SB appearance barring injury.

  3. I just dont get how a declining julio plus 2nd round pick and the contract he is gonna want is better than Corey Davis who you drafted, is in his prime and is cheaper. Davis can still get better julio is only gonna get worse.

  4. Oh, I don’t know adamb. Corey Davis was never any good. Certainly never lived up to his draft position which I believe was #5 or #6 overall. At least Julio is one of the best “when healthy”. Give me Julio over Corey Davis any day of the week.

  5. I like Corey Davis. But he isn’t Julio. Julio almost matched his 2020 production in 9 games vs CDs 14 games.

  6. It’s funny. It says he took time to say farewell to his former team. He made an IG post. It’s a nice thing to do, but let’s not act like it took more than 45 seconds.

  7. Titans had the #4 scoring offense in the NFL in 2020, I would think that adding Julio can only help. Brown, Jones and Henry are going to be difficult to defend at the same time.

  8. Julio pulled a hammy typing that.

Sorry, had to. We will miss him dearly in Atlanta. He will Ball for the Titans.

  9. @Adamb182

Picking up the 5th year option for Corey Davis would have been more expensive than Julio’s current contract. Corey Davis has never had more than 1k yards in any season. Also the desperate Jets broke the bank for Davis, if the Titans had matched the contract it would of literally messed the Titans up for years to come. Corey Davis is really good but Julio is just different.
