Tuesday’s organized team activity didn’t go as planned for Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence didn’t participate in red zone or two-minute work during the session and head coach Urban Meyer said after the session that the first overall pick was dealing with hamstring tightness. The team is off on Wednesday and Meyer said they expect Lawrence to be on the field for Thursday’s workout.

Things didn’t go all that well for Lawrence when he was on the field Tuesday. According to multiple reporters at the practice, Lawrence threw a pair of pick-sixes during the 7-on-7 phase of practice.

The Jaguars will be hoping Lawrence gets that and any hamstring issues out of his system now rather than carrying them into the season.

  1. But everyone keeps telling us that having Tim Tebow on the team makes everything easier for Lawrence.
Tebow should have given Lawrence some tips on keeping his hamstrings healthy and on how not to throw pick-sixes.
Otherwise, what is he there for?

  2. If Trevor Lawrence wants to become a HOF QB, he’s off to the right start. Troy Aikman was 0-11 his rookie year, then went on to win 3 super bowls. Terry Bradshaw won 3 games his rookie year, before going on to win four super bowls. Peyton Manning was 3-13 as a rookie. John Elway won 4 games his rookie year, and Johnny Unitas won 3 games. Seriously, Troy Aikman went 0-11, and now he’s in the HOF with 3 rings. When you get drafted by the worst team you usually start off slow. When you join a decent team, like Roethlisberger and Mahomes did, it’s a different story. If Urban Meyer sticks around long enough, he’ll get into the HOF too. The future is bright in Jacksonville. It’s a QB league and they just drafted the best one to come out in 20 years.
