Deshaun Watson‘s career remains in limbo. If/when he’s able to be traded, he has a destination in mind.

Former Texans teammate Kareem Jackson tells Aqib Talib that Watson wants to play for the Broncos.

“I’ve got a great relationship with Deshaun” Jackson told Talib. “I’ve been talking to him the last couple weeks, man. And like all he’s been telling me is like, look, Jack, just tell them, like that’s where I want to be. . . . I want to be in Denver.”

Jackson played with Watson in Houston during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. In 2019, Jackson signed with the Broncos.

It’s unlikely that Watson will be traded until the 22 civil lawsuits filed against him are settled. If not settled, the cases could go to trial as soon as May 2022.

Although there has been scant reporting on his preferred destinations, many think he’s interested in the Dolphins. There’s also a belief that, if he becomes available, the Eagles will be interested.

Regardless, we know this: According to Kareem Jackson, Deshaun wants to play for the Broncos.

  1. Watson wants to go to the Broncos. Rodgers wants to go to the Broncos.
    My money’s on Rodgers.

  2. Watson is younger than Rodgers and a much better option long term for the Broncos who can’t seem to draft a franchise QB.

  3. Broncos have Munchak coaching the line, a solid to great defense depending on who they play and a lot of talented playmakers…

I never really thought about it, but they might be a QB away from dealing real blows with the Chiefs

  4. Watson better shut up and play for whomever is willing to take him on. Until his legal problems are resolved he has zero leverage.

  5. Broncos fans been stuck in quarterback hell for years & here we have two of the top five QBs want to play for them but neither can right now for different “weird” reason.

  6. I would venture that Drew Lock would win as many games as Watson if he remained in Houston. Houston would need a few 1st rounders in addition to make that happen.

  7. Even if there weren’t any looming legal issues, Watson hasn’t won anything in the NFL, and it’s a QB league. I doubt Denver would be interested, but you never know with them.

  8. The Denver area massage therapists could be referred to as his Mile High Club.

  9. I didn’t know all you have to do is ask. I want to play for Denver too!

  10. Rodgers, Watson, or Matt Ryan will be their QB. Lock will be traded somewhere and Teddy will be a very nice insurance backup.

  11. After everything Watson has put the Texas organization thru im sure they will do everything in their power to accommodate his chosen destination.

  12. It’s not tampering when a disgruntled player makes known other teams he would like to play for.

  13. It’s lights out for KC, Buffalo and the rest of the AFC if this happens. In fact I can see them beating Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl.

  14. Shoot, I want to QB for the Broncos too, but that ain’t happening either! Oh Deshaun, bless your optimistic heart.

  15. What’s with the Broncos as a preferred destination for disgruntled QBs?

  16. I think Watson needs to start focusing on which Canadian Football team would be best.

  17. They would still go 8-9 with Watson at QB. That organization is more dysfunctional than the Raiders with Elway calling the shots.

I wonder what the Denver fans think of having Watson as their QB.

They’ll take anyone as an upgrade over what they’ve had since Manning retired.
As a matter of fact, they’ve had just about everyone since Manning retired.

  19. He is delusional if he thinks he has any leverage at this moment. He needs to show up to camp, so he can collect his exempt list money.

  20. Remember $40M and 3 first round draft picks for either one. That is a a lot of money and draft capital.

  21. I wonder what the Denver fans think of having Watson as their QB.

This fan thinks he’s possibly looking at prison time, now that the criminal investigation is getting more serious. Also, he could be suspended for the entire year,. Can’t draft a QB that can’t play for years.
