Free agent running back Todd Gurley has drawn interest from another team.

Gurley is visiting the Ravens today, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Lions have also spent time with Gurley, and they’ve been so open about their interest that some thought it was just a matter of time until Gurley landed in Detroit. The interest from Baltimore comes as a surprise, as the Ravens have a crowded backfield with JK Dobbins, Gus Edwards and Justice Hill.

Gurley was a two-time All-Pro with the Rams, but his production has declined markedly in recent years. Last season he started 15 games for the Falcons and finished with 195 carries for 678 yards.

  1. Todd Gurley is like the Sam Bradford of RB’s when it comes to making money in the NFL, however his NFL production is definitely better than Bradford! He can make a great living staying healthy the next 5-7 years.

  2. Yup. Cuz the Ravens REALLY need another RB. To go with the 17 they already have. Gurley is trying to drive up his duckets.

  3. It’s not like Justice Hill is the 2nd coming of Barry Sanders. Gurley’s on his last legs and those legs are pretty wobbly.

  4. Why?
Bad knees and back to back years with a yards per carry below four, suggests that his best days are already behind him despite being only 26.
He simply isn’t worth signing over a younger, fresher legged back.

  5. Look see at best but he’s pretty much finished as anything more than we will keep in touch.

  6. It would be foolish not to kick the tires on a former fist round 2X All-pro running back. He is no longer the player he used to be. Injuries have taken a toll on him. However, if the Ravens doctors give the OK, there no reason not to see what he’s got left in the tank. He is from Baltimore and playing for your hometown team gotta be a dream for every kid. I see the Ravens offering him an incentive-laden contract if he gets a clean bill of health. If not, no harm no foul.

  7. I mean shady mccoy and leveon bell were both on the sidelines of the last super bowl so it’s not unprecedented to add an over the hill RB to a contending team.

  8. I can’t see how he gets a shot anywhere. I didn’t expect much out of him last year as a Falcon and he was worse than I expected. Shiftiness, burst, ability to break tackles….Gone

  9. Just like Jared Goff the Patriots broke this guy in the SB….. he hasn’t been the same since

Maybe they should sign Adrian Peterson too.
