Le’Veon Bell doesn’t believe that Andy Reid wishes him well

Here’s to those who wish us well, and those who don’t can go to hell.

Of course, those who wish us well may not be telling the truth. When it comes to the curious and unexpected attacks by running back Le'Veon Bell on Chiefs coach Andy Reid, Bell isn’t buying the kind words recently articulated by Reid.

I enjoyed my time with him,” Reid said last week of Bell. “I’m pulling for him. That’s how I roll.”

Via the New York Post, Bell responded to a social-media post containing that sentiment by saying (via the New York Post), “Lol that’s cap.” For those of you who aren’t cool like me (my mom says I’m cool), “that’s cap” means “that’s a lie.”

The precise nature of Bell’s problem with Reid still isn’t known. However, Bell’s decision to continue to fire shots at his former coach won’t do much to help him secure a future coach, because his next coach won’t want to be the next one to get called out after the relationship disintegrates.

It’s hard to imagine anyone giving Bell a chance this year. Maybe he becomes an injury replacement, and injuries are always inevitable at tailback. Or maybe that’s just it for Bell. He had a very good career, and he ultimately got the major payday he coveted. Two years later, however, the well seemingly has run dry. Taking on one of the most respected coaches in the league won’t do much to persuade other teams to search for any lingering water.

  1. In addition to starting a losing battle, Bell does not offer up any reason or evidence to back up his statements. Thought he was an idiot until he opened his mouth and proved it.

  2. Had Bell stayed in Pittsburgh he had a good chance for the Hall of Fame.
Since leaving Pittsburgh he has no chance on top of the $15 million he lost while sitting out a year.

  3. Lets all have a moment of silence for the 10 “BELL” ring to honor the end of
    Le’Veon Bell’S career
    DING,DING,DING,DING,DING,DING,DING,DING,DING……DONG

  4. What a cry baby, worst part Leveon if you just kept your mouth shut and played, not only would you have got played but would have been in Canton one day.

  5. Bell is losing this battle in a big way . Bell is pissed about something and we should have no reason to doubt his angsts being legit towards Reid.
Bell fails to grasp his reality . He is unsigned and his recent play not at all enticing .
A public beef with a respected, winning, players type Head Coach will make him a detriment to any organization that has no need for the drama .
He needs to take the high road here and drop it . I don’t think he will .

  6. Let it go, dude. You’re just drawing attention to the contrast between your days when you could actually play, and now when you can only yap.

  7. There’s a saying, “It’s better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak a remove all doubt.”

  8. dude had zero shot at canton even if he stayed with the Stoolers. Plenty of better RB’s that wont sniff it.

  9. That is how Andy Rolls. Never have you ever heard him say anything negative about a player. So if what you are saying has any truth, it’s because you crossed a line not many have crossed which says everything about you and not Andy Reid.

  10. For anyone who might have been thinking someone might have screwed up in either Pittsburgh, New York (Jets), or K.C., Bell just let everyone off the hook. In fact, Bell has become the new poster boy for the campaign against pot.

  11. Leveon is in the midst of the difficulat realization that nobody cares what he says. They never cared in the past, either, but you get lots of attention when you can play. Now that he’s washed up nobody even pretends to pay attention.

  12. this will get him that gig on dancing with the stars hes been eyeing….

  13. Bell didn’t have any gas left in the tank. You could plainly see it when he got a chance to play. That said – He had ZERO blocking behind that patchworked of an O-Line the Chiefs had.
